Assistance needed for iOS App development!

I'm working with a software engineer to develop an app for the iOS. I have a few ideas but I want to have a few ideas to see what people are more interested in. Both of my ideas are card games.

1. A monster battling game. You know how I said in an earlier post that I had a "mon" series in mind called Silver Dragon Wars? I thought I'd turn it into a card game. In contrast with some other monster arena card games with fierce, hardcore art, most of the monsters (called Terrians in this game after the planet they live on, Terra V) I draw are cute and almost chibi. However, I need some gameplay ideas to make sure it's not only fun, but balanced and playable as well.

2. An idol collecting/producing game similar to Cinderella Girls or Million Live consisting entirely of OCs. Of course it will have a different name too. This way I can promote my Neo Vision characters as well as some new ones...maybe add a mix and throw in a batch of male idols too (I had a couple of ideas for male idols as well) in order to diversify the playing field? I'm not too well versed in the gameplay of the mobile iM@S games so I might need the help of some users so that this idea keeps that sort of feel while remaining original. I think I may have an idea or two regarding head-to-head concerts...

For the idol card game, I could potentially help with some character designs and whatnot. Well, as much as I can given the fact that I'm still in school and summer is gonna be pretty busy for me. You can give me directions on character designing, I can draw that character and send you a picture file either here through Private Messaging or e-mail. Maybe I can give some character ideas and add an OC or two of my own, if that's okay.

Also, in terms of character roster, will it be like Cinderella Girls that adds new characters on a certain basis or Million Live where the roster is static and never increases or decreases?

Thanks a lot! I could use the help! I could draw a couple myself (I'm trying to think of performance outfits for the Neo Vision cast), but I'll have to improve my style a bit while maintaining my cute chibi-esque style.

Definitely Million Live. I want a decently-sized yet static group. I know I'm adding my cast from Neo Vision plus a new cast of characters. I think I'll separate them into Voice, Dance, and Visual categories. Sakura will be the Mirai/staple girl of this set.

Gameplay-wise, I'm not sure. I don't know much about ML itself (or CG for that matter) so I'll have to ask around for some gameplay ideas.

So you like that idea over the monster arena game?

I like the monster arena game. The fact that the monsters are gonna look adorable sounds like an interesting and hilarious deconstruction! XD!

As for the idol game, can I just send my email address and Skype username to you so we can have discussions about it? In addition are you fine with me bringing in some of my characters? One more question (I have a lot. Sorry. XD!), how big is the roster gonna be counting the Neo Vision girls and is NAZO even gonna be in the game? Just to take them into consideration for the total character count.

Sorry about the confusion. Actually, I'm really just looking for consensus on the type of app people might be interested in. I already have a technical partner. I am trying to determine the type of game/app people might enjoy most.

I'm okay with the character design. I'm just trying to get a feel for gameplay ideas and how either of my projects will be both balanced and fun at the same time. I figured people who have played Million Live will give me some ideas.

Oh, my bad. XP! I am more interested in the second idea than the first. Though I haven't played the mobile iM@S games myself, so I can't really help ya there.
