Love Live iOS released in english on the app and google play store
TranscendingPerspective:
I downloaded it and gave it a shot, it's alright, the Rhythm part's fun but I'm not one for the visual novel parts (Mostly because Love Live isn't my thing story wise). But thankfully your points you need to access to rhythm part gradually come back at a rate of about one point per six minutes (or they fully reload whenever you rank up.)
I'm kind of hoping this will bring iDOLM@STER to the android platform to be honest.
Accoun:
Downloading. After Shiny Festa I'm rather neutral at best, frankly. I thought it wasn't that good and touchscreen will make this one worse than it could be, unless it's more Osu!-like, so designed for touch. But that'll make me not like it anyway, because I don't like touch games or non-button rhythm games. I'm curious how does it look, though.
Also, that root block really sucks (even if my tablet isn't rooted).
MetalPredat0r:
Just played the game for a bit. It's decent so far. I was never too big on Rhythm Games, but its nothing that'll make me avoid the game. I'll give it about a few more moments of play before I write a full review for it.
Accoun:
OK, so far I unlocked one song and frankly, it's pretty bad. Good thing it has more inputs than Shiny Festa but everything else? Meh. Charts don't look that good, gameplay screen isn't really well-made either - not much polish and I would argue that there are too many inputs, it's kinda too cluttered and this half-circle thing isn't that good of an idea.
Basically a typical cheap cash-in. Not even the songs are that good so far, if you ask me, but I realize I hardly heard much of them yet. Except I don't really have any interest to pick it up again and unlock more.

Unlike iM@S games, where the songs are made for the game, the game uses songs from other parts of the franchise. The one exception is the song that plays on the title screen, "Takaramonos", and the song that came on the same single, "Paradise Live".
Love Live! music can be generally divided into 3 types:
Upbeat Pop/rock style songs. e.g.

Less upbeat pop (not really sure what to call this):

Music heavy on modern electronic influences:

There are exceptions, of course, and even within the very generic categories there are differences, but that's what most Love Live! music seems like to me. There aren't even many slower songs at all. I can only really think of a couple.
The first 6 songs you can play will be in this order, not counting events or daily songs:

As for my thoughts on this app, something really weird happened. I have a 3rd gen iPod touch with iOS 5.1 (not 5.1.1). I downloaded the English version of the app today after having played many hours of the Japanese version (I'm level 49). For some reason, the Japanese version works perfectly fine, but the English version causes black to flash on the screen for less than a second and then closes. I think that it's either the English version requires a better iOS version than stated (both versions say that 5.1 is required) or there's a glitch with the app.
