Ni-hao Nyan!
« on: April 28, 2014, 04:53:00 am »
Real Name: Grace
Sex: Female
Country of Origin: USA
Age (upon joining): I'm not comfortable disclosing my age online, sorry!
Hobbies: Too many to list, but the biggest ones are: Drawing (Cartoonist, Fashion Designer), Writing novels, Researching, Wasting Time, Listening to Music, and OC Creation.

=Q&A=

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: I had recently watched the iDOLM@STER Anime and started playing Cinderella Girls (Although it's hard without a verfication, I love the pretty dresses. They always inspired me.) and when I went to the Project-iM@S homepage I saw the forum and I've kind of been stalking around here a little while.. Ehe, um, but now I've decided to try and join.

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: To not be a creepy stalker. To join other iM@S fans in a community based on the series.

Q: Do you play it?
A: Does Cinderella Girls count? *is kicked*

Q: Do you wish you could play it? (Ignore this part if above answer is "Yes")
A: Yup yup.

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Hm... I would have to say in terms of the main series, Takane. I really like her voice and visual and how she stands out from the rest of girls with her beautiful silver hair. And her mysterious character, I'd love to learn more about her. (She's a fortune cookie I can't quite open and therefore I must try to figure her out.)

But in other terms, of just iM@S in general, Kaede hands down, and part of that is in fact my bias for Saori Hayami. Her vocal talent is amazing and on top of that Kaede is just one of those characters I am generally really drawn to, with her amazingly lame puns and mysterious outer appearance. (Let's just say I'm a sucker for the darker and mysterious characters..)

Q: Why is your username "<insert username here>"?
A: TranscendingPerspective; basically I went around on some psychology forums and something about a personality type having a "transcending perspective" and the phrase really stuck with me I guess?

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: IdolM@STER, Drawing, Noveling and... Agents of Shield + The Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gotta get me some superheroes.

Q: What is your motto?
A: Everyone is human I suppose.

Q: Who's your favorite singer(s) right now?
A: Saori Hayami, Nana Mizuki, May'N, LiSA, um... Yoko Hikasa if she counts.

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: NaNoWriMo.

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Since I've been stalking it, not really I guess.

Welcome to the forums, Grace!

I've never met a fashion designer AND cartoonist before. If you can, would you like to share some designs you made? Maybe even some of your OCs? That is, if you don't mind.

I'm more of a DC guy, but I do dabble into Marvel at times, ESPECIALLY with the Cinematic Universe.

A lot of Kaede fans lately. She interests me mainly because of her whole split-personality thing she had going on recently.

Kaede isn't one of my favorite idols, but Saori certainly is one of my favorite voice actresses.

Sure are a lot of people coming on the forums. Maybe in preparation for the new game?

Welcome!

Takane is one of my favorite idols too. I like her eccentricity.

I'm curious, you found this forum because of the iDOLM@STER Anime and Cinderella Girls, but how did you find those (the anime and cinderella girls)?

Welcome! Nice to meet you!

Ooh! Drawing? OC Creation? Sounds like you and I are on the same boat (as long as anime and video games don't interfere XD ). I've created some OCs myself, including a whole production company full of idols. I look forward to seeing some of your drawings too!

I like Hayami-san's voice too. Most of the time I think of Musubi from Sekirei and Leia from Tales of Xillia. While Koi Kaze is a beautiful song, Kaede isn't really one of my top Cinderella Girls (mine are Anzu, Kirari, Kanako, Airi, and Sachiko). But that's just my opinion. ;)

Holy shit you broke the forum http://puu.sh/8qBIR.png

Getting a CG verification isn't too difficult if you put some effort into it and get lucky.  Some people out there are willing to let you use their personal numbers for a small cost.

Welcome to the fold, Grace. Not sure what everyone else is on, but Kaede is indeed the best Cinderalla Girl. :P

I've dabbled into drawing myself, trying to get a feel for it all whilst working off of Mark Crilley's art guide. Novels are a great pass-time as well. What are your favourite books? Mine off the top of my head are Of Mice and Men, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies and anything written by Shakespeare or Tolkien. I love me a good tragedy.

Finally, to get on the nerdier side of things, are you seeing Age of Ultron first day? I know I am -- a movie like this deserves the best seating along with some 3D glasses to enjoy along the masses. :3
Suddenly, bow-wow-wow~. :3

I'd love to share my drawings, but I'll do it after I reply to everything because it seems like a whole lot...

The MCU is one of the coolest story lines I've ever seen because of the way they weave everything together, and it's not all just different storys. It's one big story with a different hero and villain in each one.

The split personality thing, um... I've heard about that, yeah. (Much thanks to TV Tropes.) I'm not sure what I think about it but didn't it give her a popularity bump?

Welcome!

It's definitely a trait of hers that can draw people in. Or creep them out.

Oh! I had a friend who was also into iM@S and she prompted me to watch the anime. I found Cinderella Girls through the neighboring wiki here.

It's always nice to meet other creators. I haven't made an iM@S character yet but I have others who are from series like Tokyo Mew Mew and Soul Eater and Symphogear.

Saori really has a beautiful voice... When I think Saori I think Red Data Girl. It's alright to have a different opinion! It's just a different taste I guess, like I said, I love those mysterious characters.

Does that mean I need a cone of shame now? *is kicked once again*

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try and look into that sometime soon.

Kaede is pretty awesome.

Drawing and novels are good pass times. I'm a bit of an immature reader, I just got back into it after several years of avoiding books so I've mostly been reading YA and Fairy Tails, although I am reading Romeo and Juliet right now and it's actually a horrible love story so far.

Maybe! It all depends on plans. I am super excited for the addition of the twins, and hopefully it's hinting that Doctor Strange is somewhere near in the future since he did train Scarlet Witch. But hopefully it'll be an excellent movie that surpasses the first Avengers, The Winter Soldier for me had already come very close to the quality of the first Avengers movie.

Kaede isn't one of my favorite idols, but Saori certainly is one of my favorite voice actresses.

(I almost skipped over you, ehe.)

Saori is amazing.

I'm not really sure, I did notice the big influx of users. I can't really buy the game though, I don't have the platform for it. (I just kinda wanted to stop feeling like a stalker.)

And now since a lot of you guys are asking to see my art.

This ones a recent design set I made, I sell the sets on an art website and then whoever buys them can use them for whatever they'd like.

This one is my Mew OC's, a work on Progress. (The Archer is Heina and the.. Other one is named Destiney.)

This OC is Koneko, and she's a bakeneko... And she may or may not be headcanonically voiced by Saori Hayami. *is kicked*

Um, Big image files. I'll upload a few more later. (And maybe shrink the file size..)

Hi! I'm Grace. From the USA.
I totally understand not wanting to disclose your age online because I didn't want to do it either.
I am an avid writer of novels, fan-fiction, and literally anything, I have at least a billion OCs, and honey, I'm the QUEEN of procrastination.
Also I listen to way too much music.
And draw too much.

iDOLM@STER is awesome, writing is amazing, and drawing is cool. Also superheros. 'Cept Loki is my favorite Marvel character.

Nana Mizuki, LiSA, and Yoko Hikasa are awesome (though sadly not in my top ten).

And...seriously, I feel like I've met the other half of myself. XDD

Sorry.
I'm creepy. :3

Yes, she is. Same with Anastasia![/shamelessplug] :3

Mind sharing what YA novels you're currently into? I could expand my library once I'm finished reading something else. As for Romeo and Juliet, it can be considered mushy, yet it is still unlike your typical fairytale where everything goes well. Still, if you want sheer quality of Shakespeare, you should check up on King Lear or even Hamlet -- they're definitely his more darker, powerful works.

Here, here, Doctor Strange has been one of my favourite comic book characters (so much that I loved to use him in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3). Reading more on Avengers 2, it's great that Joss Whedon is making Ultron a more 3rd-dimensional villain, what with humor and endearing traits. On a side note, are you interested in Guardians of the Galaxy? Apparently that's tied into the Cinematic Universe, and the fact it stars an anthropomorphic gun-toting raccoon piques my interest at the very least.

Suddenly, bow-wow-wow~. :3

I don't think you're creepy at all! There are a whole lot of similarities here.

I love to write; it's a great form of self expression and helps me release my creativity into the wild unknown. I've got a whole ocean of ideas in my head. Drawing, well, I've always had an affinity for art and it's manifested into what I do now! Once I had a whole army of Tokyo Mew Mew OC's for a massive fanfic I was writing, but in the end I never finished because of complications so I gave my main three a back story and killed off the rest pfft. I tend to procrastinate and get stuff done at last minute and generally trying to do things at a steady pace kills me.

I have to admit I am guilty of Loki being my all around favorite marvel character, although he is probably one of the biggest villains in the whole universe. Favorite actual hero is probably Iron Man, or Doctor Strange.

I love music, but I tend to struggle in finding a diversity of it because I'm so picky about it. I try to find stuff I like, but also stuff that fits into my value system.. And that's hard. *is kicked*

Anastasia is also pretty cool, but Kaede though.

The Lunar Chronicles is hands down my favorite; it's a sci fi fairy tale retelling series with Cyborg Cinderella as the main character, along with gun slinging Little Red Riding Hood, Hacker Rapunzel in a satellite, and Snow White who is literally going mad. It's amazing. The Hunger Games was alright, but I stayed as far away from it as possible for a long time because of all of the hype over it. Divergent series... Eh, the heroine is a bit of an idiot. I think I'm going to be reading those sometime in the near future, not sure when though. And I actually read a bunch of the original Fairy Tales with all of the darker stories, like the Little Mermaid turning to foam in the end and Snow White choking on an apple core. (Regardless a lot of them still have happy endings, but still. A lot different from their Disney counterparts.)

It's amazing what Joss Whedon can do, he's excellent at his job. Villains are people too! Not just sociopathic, psychopathic, malicious nut jobs. Doctor Strange needs a movie in phase three. I'm interested in it, it's coming out a little while before my birthday so I might go see it with some friends as part of my present or something. The biggest reason why I want to see it is the Raccoon though, I love me some sassy anthropomorphic animals. (At least he seems sassy.)

Good then. X3

Writing is my soul mate. XD I literally have a whole library of fan-fictions I'm working on/have finished. And that's not even counting the fifty or so original works I'm working on. And THAT'S not even counting the dozens of ideas I haven't even started yet! And THAT'S not even counting the ideas I keep getting!
Basically, I write A LOT. XD
I like to draw my OCs so I can have something to go off of when I write about them.
I actually invented a large group of Tokyo Mew Mew OCs with my little sister for a fan-fic, but I eventually got out of the fandom (I still like it, just not nearly as much), I couldn't write worth a lick back then, and I just sorta lost interest. The book is still on my computer in case I ever decide to go back and finish it.
I tend to procrastinate to the point that everything is way overdue or I miss a due date. I do that all the time; it's a terrible habit, really.

I just have a thing for traitors and snarkers. Loki certainly delivered his fair share of snark in the Thor movies (especially The Dark World).
Even if he is totally evil. :P
I don't think I could choose a favorite hero, honestly. :P I need to get more fully immersed in the whole Marvel universe first. So far I've read the occasional Thor comic book and seen a few of the movies. Therefore I can't admit to being as big a fan as anyone else. :P

Dude. Value system. I totally get that.
That's why I like Bruno Mars. He writes about stuff the typical American pop star writes about...sometimes. But a lot of his songs are just really sweet (*cough cough When I Was Your Man cough*), and he has a nice voice.
Of course, I listen to a lot of Japanese music, and somehow if you don't know what the person is saying it makes it better. XD
Then again, if you don't know what you're singing, you could get some strange looks when you sing it around native speakers...
