create a wrestler is great, especially for getting wrestlers who arent in the game, most of the time caws made by fans look better than the models the developers make themselves with their body scanning and all that jazz lol
although wwe 13 had a great roster, it had alot of bugs that annoyed the hell out of me, most annoying thing was the ai was terrible and i always won and theyd always kick out at 1 unless they were ready to lose then itd be a 3 count

made it terrible when i tried to have realistic matches with drama lol so id personally recommend wwe 2k14 since it addresses those problems and im sure you could download a great mike tyson caw since all his moves are still in the game xD

The only thing is that I am a bit worried that the WWE Games are a bit complex for me to learn. And I play A LOT of fighting games! Is this really the case or are the controls and mechanics easy to learn?

oh trust me if you can play fighting games and memorize a combo(i cant lol) then wwe would be a breeze, its really just grapple and press grapple again plus a direction on the stick to do moves, you can strike and whatnot but is really super easy to pick up and personally more fun than fighters because a match isnt always determined by whoever gets the first combo(tekken! lol) i think you should watch some wrestling so you have some ideas of how youd like to wrestle just so you have a feel of what a good match looks like and then try to replicate that to the best the game will allow you(theyre not realistic enough in my opinion i wish there was a perfect wrestling sim lol) and im sure youll have fun if you start out with the difficulty set low you can just mess around and have a blast and still win (:

Alright. What game do you recommend starting with? I can rent Smackdown vs RAW 2008 on PS2 at my library.

thats not a bad one to start with, the game play in that one is abit different because i think it used the analog stick for grapples but the core gameplay is still the same and theres some stuff thats actually better than in 2k14 anyway like environmental grapples so you could try that out to get a feel for wrestling games because going from that to 2k14 if you choose to do so wouldnt take all that much adjusting, youd probably appreciate the improvements in 2k14 more too. you could even check out the caw creator too to get an idea of hoe that stuff works, i warn you though that creating caws is very time consuming! ^_^

I'm a bit late, but welcome! Always nice to see new faces. :D

A Miku fan, too! We really ought to make a Vocaloid thread, because I just adore Vocaloid, and...Vocaloid. :D

You're very welcome. *nod nod*

I'm addicted to at least fifteen Vocaloid songs right now. XD So I would love to have a place to rant about them and how much I adore Yuu Asakawa/Luka's voice.

I had the opportunity to pick up Project Diva at NekoCon a few years ago, but passed it over in favor of getting Perfect Sun. I've been very pleased (aside from accidentally deleting my progress half-a-million times and continuously offending my precious by mistake) thus far,  but now that my interest in Vocaloid has been renewed, I'm starting to wish I had Project Diva. Is it available in ordinary gaming stores, or will I have to wait for another Con/order it online?

I really love the illustrations by TSO. He/she/they/it is my favorite Vocaoid artist. The way they draw is just so beautiful!

if you want the f games, you can pick up an English f off amazon or psn, tho getting a physical copy is a bit tricky these days i hear, glad i preordered XD
project diva f 2nd is also out in japan, i preordered both versions of that and love them, not a bad start too since half the songs are from the psp project diva games
i started with the dreamy theaters which are pretty much ps3 remakes of the psp games, those required owning project diva 2nd and extend and to purchase dreamy theater 2nd and extend along with making a japanese psn account, a psp, complete save data etc.
if youre not into all that madness id suggest just pick up one of the project diva f's, f 2nd comes out in us and europe this fall and has a good chunk of the old songs anyway along with much better looking graphics, you can also check wikis to see which one has any songs you might recognize
i think you should go all in and start from the beginning though, you appreciate the advancements the series makes that way :)

Thanks, I'll have to check it out!
I would go all in, but, well, I'm a broke American. XD And I don't have a PS3 to speak of. Sob, sob. I do have a PSP though, so I hope to get F one day!

EDIT: Looks like F is only for PS3 and PSVita. I have neither. D:
I'll find a Project Diva game I can play and play that!

if you only have a psp you can get project diva 2nd and extend, which are excellent, you can also get the first project diva, but some of its songs are also in second and the gameplay is lacking compared to the others but if you can you might as well get it too. you can always go the cfw route too if you dont mind being a pirate :P

you should invest in a vita or ps3 though, plenty of titles to play especially on the ps3 but i guess it depends on how much gaming you do daily XD

I'll add that to my extensive list of Video Games I Must Purchase. :P

I plan to get a Vita one day, actually. Purely because Senran Kagura, Neptunia, and now this, are all releasing games I really want on the Vita. :P First I need money.

yeah the vita is starting to get alot of support from japanese developers, i mostly play japanese developed games so i love it (not a hater i just dont enjoy realistically violent games much which is what most western games are)

I can totally understand that. :)
I want to play Ys for the Vita too, so maybe it's worth the investment. I'll have to look into it.
AND MY PARENTS GOT ME AN iPAD FOR MY BIRTHDAY SO I CAN CROSS THAT OFF MY LIST *squeal~*
