Well. Arturo and altuixde uploaded their "confessions", AKA "this is what my art looks like before inking" (in altuixde's case) and "haha look at my prototypes" (in Arturo's case).

Inspired, I decided to show you all a piece I did a long time ago. Keep in mind that back when I did this, I thought it was AMAZING. Now I'm like, "Ew."

I was bored a few years back and drew my top five favorites (personality-wise only) in white sundresses.
AND MAKOTO BABY YOU LOOK TERRIBLE WHY CAN'T I EVER FREAKING DRAW YOU RIGHT?!?!?!? *RAGE RAGE RAGE ANGRY RAGE!!*

Anyhow.

For your entertainment, this is what's written in their thought bubbles:

Hibiki: "I can't wait to go in the water..."
Takane: "The sun looks quite magnificent."
Miki: "Miki likes this dress~."
Iori: "Why do I have to be here with these people?! (But the beach is nice.)"
Makoto: "I wonder if I look girly in this~... (It could use more frills...)"

Why yes, I did most likely portray them as out-of-character in those thought bubbles. Thank you for noticing.

Those words pointing to the whatever-it-is (I don't even know) on Makoto's dress say "Bumble-flower" and were written by Jo, who thought the whatever-it-is (seriously, what is it?!) looked like a mix between a bumble bee and a flower.

And there. Now compare this to my more recent batch of Namuko Academy fanarts or the one of my OCs cosplaying Turiavita, and allow your mind to be blown.

I sucked when I was young, like, you don't even want to see.

This ain't so bad compared to my work in the 7th/8th Grade. THAT'S terrible! I do agree that the arms are too....noodley, but its not too bad.

Though Hibiki's "Dat Water" face is kinda awkward, no offense.

I don't think I've ever read a Teen Girl Squad comic, but the whole "practice makes perfect" adage is definitely true. It's actually hilarious how much I've evolved.

We should make a thread where people show their worst drawing from the time they first started and their best recent drawing, and we just laugh at ourselves because I SUCKED at art as a child. XDD

How my request is going?

I've had a lot on my mind lately, but I'm working on it. Still have to add details and eyes and color, and then I'll be done!
Next hurdle is uploading it. XD

Got distracted from requests and drew these. Decided to show you so you can see what all my hard work procrastinating has gone into.

So those of you who spam the recent posts like me probably read that post I did on the Vocaloid thread ranting about how much I love the Night series.
Well, I love it so much I'm going to sing it.
As my OCs.
One of which is Kaiden, who you guys might recognize from over on the "Art: Then and Now" thread.

I decided to draw all my characters cosplaying their respective roles. It actually turned out relatively terribly, because I was trying to imitate a style I wasn't used to, and it just...sorta flopped. I still really like Disco (Maid) and the Doll Twins, though. Also Kaiden (Butler). Because Kaiden's really good about cooperating when I draw him. But the others were relatively...meh.

Here's that:



So yeah, not terrible, not my best, middle-of-the-road.
I did have a lot of fun with heights, though, because Kaiden (Butler) is 6'6" and Jay (Doll Girl) is only 5'0".
Also Blaze (Doll Boy) is technically supposed to be taller, but twins with Jay, so that happened.

BUT.

Then I was inspired.
Inspired to draw one of my favorite Freeze Frame Bonuses from the Ever Lasting Night PV.
Using these characters.

The result was this (original scene included for comparison):



Aside from the background being derpy, I LOVE it! I think this is one of the best works I've ever done, honestly!
It was HARD. Lust's (MEIKO's) angle was REALLY hard do to, Kaiden has a larger and more pronounced nose than Gakupo so I had to include that, and Blaze's (Doll Boy's) eyes slant downwards (in TV tropes terms, they're Tareme Eyes--they droop at the corners and come to a point there), so I tried to portray that as accurately as possible.
Also Jay (Doll Girl) is a boy.
So there's that.
Also I got the positions off.
And since they ARE my characters, it definitely doesn't look the same.

BUT EOTRUHF
I LOVE THIS.
I REALLY DO.
I THINK TAKEN ALONE, I DID VERY WELL.
I AM PROUD.

Leave your thoughts on how terrible I am for working on this when I'm backed up on requests!
