Its really more digital coloring. The drawing itself was still the usual sketches I did, just scanned and colored in Photoshop. I will say, having the computer screen double as a tablet helped A LOT!

That makes sense to me. Hair can take a long time, especially complicated hair on your first try.

EVO 2014 is going on right now and The King of Fighters XIII Finals are later today, so to celebrate, I decided to do this little sketch of my favorite KOF character, Athena Asamiya. I chose her outfit from The King of Fighters 2003, as not only is it my favorite outfit of hers, but it also makes her look the most idol-like. Makes sense, she IS an Idol in the KOF universe, predating even iM@S, Love Live!, and Vocaloid!



Isn't she awesome with her psycho power?

Well, something I usually do is that when drawing characters of varying heights together, I take account of the tallest person first, then plan ahead for the rest. You'll probably notice how I live up to that when you see my drafts. XD

I'll take that into consideration when I draw Kirari. Thanks for the advice, man.

King of Fighters is among my favorite series of fighting games EVER. And Athena is one awesome character, with that "Psycho Power".

Finally, another KOF player! ! What three characters do you usually main? Mine are Athena, Iori (with flames) , and Terry.

I tend to go for Jenet, Kula, and...the third character is usually experimental, just a chance for me to try out a bunch of different characters and see who I end up liking. I'm not solid on my favorite third character yet, there are just so many to choose from. XD

My sister loves Iori. She tends to go for Kyo, Iori, and K'.
And she beats me every time. *sigh*

Yeah, it's XI. Jenet and Shion are ONLY in XI so far. Although the end of XIII's Story Mode hints at Shion's return.

I discovered KOF via Cacpom vs SNK 2 and loving how the SNK characters looked and played. Then I ended up gettin 98UM on the 360 and the rest is history.

I've yet to play Neowave, though that's only because its Xbox-exclusive in the US. PS2 Version is only in Japan and Europe and the PS2 is NOT import-friendly! I wanna play as May Lee again! X(!!!

I'm only used to 94 Kyo and Flames Iori because they play similar to Street Fighter characters Ryu and Ken. X)!

Back with more Wrasslin' Cinderellas! This time with Batch Three, minus Mio. I'm saving Mio for another time. But for now, here are the others.

Miho is probably my least favorite here and that's only because of her attire, imo. Everyone else looks great. Airi's outfit is ripped staright from W4U, though I HEAVILY debate whether or not Riina and Mizuki should be added. Maybe for a sequel.

First time drawing Riina and Mizuki. I decided to close Mizuki's eyes because I can only do eyes for younger girls. Making eyes for older women is tough. Kaede was only easy because she looks 18. (Don't deny it!)

Maybe I can get Batch Four done before I leave for New Jersey on Saturday.

Onto Batch Four and THANK YOU NAMCO BANDAI FOR PICKING TWO SHORT GIRLS! This one actually has all five girls!

Remember when I said Batch Two was my favorite? Yeah, it has competition now! Everyone came out looking great and the surprising part is, Minami aside, this is the first time I've ever drawn each of these characters! Minami and Nana came out the best to me. Minami (my main CG besides Natalia) came out AMAZING and I FINALLY perfected how to draw her. Her outfit is ripped straight from W4U. Nana also came out looking awesome and like Riina and Mizuki, I want to have her in W4U as a rival for Miku Maekawa. Battle of the Furries!

I also followed Marx's advice of taller characters first and it worked out really well! It made fitting all five of them all the easier. So, thanks, man.

If I'm lucky, I MAY get Batch Five done before Saturday, but I wouldn't hold my breath.....

Special Azusa's Birthday Edition!!!



I'm going by Japanese time here because I leave tomorrow to New Jersey and won't be back till Monday. Like hell I'd postpone this! Not only would it be late, it'd also be irrelevant since I have something planned for July 27th!

Anyway, I had to kinda rush this one due to the circumstances of packing, an empty stomach, and having to get up at 4:30 in the morning tomorrow to catch a flight, hence the poor quality of Miurasan and the laziness of the desert background. Azusa herself came out great, though.

That's all I got for today. I'll be back on Monday, hopefully with Batch Five of the Cinderella Girls wrestling attires.

Back with Batch Five! Like with Batch Four, this one has all five girls, thanks to having a shortie like Koume in the group!

Mayu and Anastasia are ripped straight from W4U and both have seen a MASSIVE improvement. Mayu now looks closer to her game artwork and Anastasia.......... oh my! I look back at the drawing I did on Anya for Wrestle for You CLIMAX!! and I ended up HATING it! It looks so rushed, so messy, and so unprofessional! Thankfully, I actually took my time with Anya and, I gotta say, she looks MUCH better! Hope you're happy, Deviant! 

Chieri was also a fun one to do as well as Aiko "Barrel Girl" Takamori. Koume came out looking a bit odd, but I'll let it pass since she IS an odd little cutie, after all.

Just two more batches of these and I am done!

We're at the home stretch with these! Onto Batch Six. Syoko couldn't fit, so I had to exclude her. Sorry. :/

Nao and Karen look BADASS here! These two are more characters that I am heavily considering for W4U2! They would make a PERFECT Tag-Team with each other! Nao could be the brute who does a lot of damage, but is slow while Karen could have tons of agility and be a speedster, but has really low HP due to her illnesses. I dunno, I just feel like these two would fit so well!

Oh, and Sae and Yuko are here too.
