(I almost forgot there was a management mode. Better start talking about that.)
MANAGEMENT MODE
This mode, for those not satisfied with Story or Versus, exists to show the fact that this IS The iDOLM@STER, after all. Remember Wrestle Angels? Kinda like that with an iM@S twist.
Who are you?
You are a manager at the JWSF who works for Tanaka, the JWSF's President and her daughter, Melissa, who serves as VP, Announcer, Tutorial Guide, and playable character on occasion. Tanaka will be a black silhouette like Takagi, Ishikawa, and Kuroi while Melissa will be perfectly visible. Melissa will help you in managing the girls as they make it to the top.
Who will you manage?
Why, the original 14 girls of 765Pro, of course! The big thing about this is that both Yayoi and Kotori, who were NPCs in the Story Mode, are playable and manageable in Management Mode. This also marks the first time where Kotori can be managed in any game ever. Also, unlike Story and Versus, character alignments do not matter and the girls act more like their regular everyday selves, while Story Mode has them following a script.
Your Objective?
Make sure your girl becomes the JWSF Champion in the span of 52 weeks. Doing so will earn you the best ending and an unlockable "Japanese Circuit Champion" costume for that specific girl.
Your Obstacles?
Normally, you go into battle against the other girls you haven't picked in the tournament. Occasionally, there will be rival battles against an idol from 876Pro, Cinderella Girls, or Million Live. Another obstacle is your idol's affection. Win enough matches and she will be happy for you and treat you very kindly. Lose too many matches, and the idol will either doubt, be afraid of, or even flat-out hate you. Another major obstacle is injuries. If your idol either takes too much damage in a match or loses a specific way, she will be injured and thus cannot wrestle for a week. You CAN choose a substitute, but the bonuses you gain will not be as rewarding as those with your actual wrestler. Those bonuses DO transfer to your actual wrestler, though.
How's this gonna end?
The type of ending you gain will depend on your wrestler's affection, popularity, and overall stats in matches. Getting the best possible ending in the entire game requires your wrestler have won the JWSF Championship Belt, at least 85% popularity, Positive Affection towards you, and have her Win-Loss Ratio be 90% Wins at least.
