This is not a posting for a new character, but this post will give some information on gameplay and the game's aesthetics.
-How do you win?
Each competitor has two health meters. Once the first meter is drained, the competitor can be pinned by their opponent, but they can easily escape by mashing buttons. However, the lower their second health bar, the less of a chance she may be able to get up. If both her health bars are depleted, it is nearly impossible for her to escape from a pin. Another way of winning is to keep your opponent out of the ring (unless the arena is a backstage arena) for 20 seconds. Then the opponent will be disqualified via count out.
-Blood
Yes, there will be blood in this game. If somebody is hit from a strong attack or a weapon, blood will come out of that competitor. The harder the hit, the more blood will come out. (Makochii is an exception. She is the only character that can't bleed.) This adds nothing to the gameplay, as it is just a part of the game's aesthetics. If you're not into this sorta thing, you can just turn the blood off in the Options menu or before a match.
-Unlocking Characters
Certain conditions must be met to unlock a certain character. Once those conditions are met, the character will challenge you to a special one health bar match. Defeat the opponent and she will be unlocked as a playable character. This is similar to unlocking characters in Super Smash Bros.
-Unlocking Costumes
With the exceptions of Easter Eggs, costumes must be purchased from the shop for use in Arcade, VS, Training, and any other mode outside of Story Mode.
-Performing Finishers
Every character has a super meter right underneath their health meter. It contains four points. Fill up all four points and then press both trigger buttons (LT/RT on 360, L2/R2 on PS3, ZL/ZR on Wii U) and your character can perform a finisher.
-Alternatives for the Super Meter
Or you can store up meter and perform EX Special Moves (enhanced versions of special moves) that only cost one point of meter.
-Items
You can use items from outside the ring such as chairs, tables, ladders, baseball bats, trash cans, hockey sticks, etc. on your opponent, similar to Super Smash Bros. If items are not your cup of tea and you only want to fight using your skills alone, you can turn items off in the Options menu or before a match.
-Music
A large selection of musical tracks throughout the series history can be used in the middle of a match and can be chosen before the match starts. Music ranges from The Idolm@ster Arcade, The Idolm@ster 360, SP, Dearly Stars, 2, Anime, Shiny Festa, One For All, Cinderella Master, and Live The@ter Performance.
-Arcade Mode
Arcade Mode is a single player mode that has you fight eight opponents with minigames after every six matches. The first minigame is Test Your Might from Mortal Kombat. Mash buttons until your power meter is high enough and then press RT/R2/ZR to break the material. Breaking the material rewards bonus points. Failing to do so gives you nothing. The harder the difficulty, the harder the material. The second minigame is Break the SUV. An SUV is parked inside the ring and you have to destroy it in 60 seconds. Destroying the SUV in time rewards bonus points. Running out of time rewards you nothing. Defeating the final boss, Takane, will reward you with an ending cutscene exclusive to each character.
That's all for now. More details may be under way. Leave your thoughts.
