I like Nicole! It might be because of Kotori, but I love the idea of her retiring, but still kinda being involved, and it was really sweet of Ellen to offer to go into the ring on her behalf. Also, I like her character design. The mask is a nice touch. I think it suits her better than it would Ellen, in the end. Good job!

A familiar face appears in Management Mode as an NPC.



Yes, Kuroi appears in Management Mode to once again meddle with 765Pro and attempt to bring them down. However, this time, he may prove to be an even bigger threat than he has in the past.

In Management Mode, Kuroi hears that 765Pro has joined the Pro Wrestling Circuit and is furious at their recent publicity. Thus he begins a plan. He hires a wrestler under his wing named Jamie Lee Ray, a young woman who can easily destroy everybody in the ring. Jamie works (cheats due to Kuroi) her way into the finals as Kuroi is behind the scenes scheming. He does have a few encounters with your wrestler from time to time, with Kotori's scenario being the one where he appears the most, as well as where the plot thickens the most. In fact, he is at his most despicable in Kotori's scenario. He often tries to persuade Kotori to come work for him and Kotori refuses every time, reminding Kuroi of the atrocities he has done, especially to Chihaya (anime Episodes 19-21). Because of this, Kuroi not only creates a rumor that Kotori uses steroids before her matches (causing the crowd to hate her) but even messes with the people close to Kotori as Jamie horribly injures Ellen in a match, which further traumatizes the already scarred-for-life Nicole.

It is revealed later on that Kuroi actually kidnapped Jamie and that Jamie is really the adopted daughter of Tanaka and the adopted sister of Melissa and Alex. Jamie was given a choice: either wrestle for Kuroi and ruin 765Pro or Kuroi would sue Tanaka for injuring a minor (Nicole's final match) which, in turn, would shut down the JWSF. Jamie has no choice but to fight for Kuroi and Jamie eventually makes it to the finals. In actual canon, Kotori is the one who makes it to the finals and fights Jamie during the True Ending route. (Kotori is the only character with a final boss during her true ending and the only one that allows you to retry if you lose, as Jamie is not easy.) Kotori eventually wins and becomes champion. Kuroi is furious and gets in the ring to taunt Kotori even further. However Tanaka comes in with two police officers and does what should have been done long ago, have Kuroi arrested. He is not only arrested for kidnapping, but also for indirectly harming a minor (Ellen).

Yeah, Kuroi is a big deal in Wrestle For You!.....

But I do honestly enjoy the idea of there being a villain involved. Besides Takane. Games/books/shows/anything just isn't the same without a Big Bad. And I like that he has the most involvement in Kotori's route. It makes sense.

New item: Bucket of Water.

When used, it makes either character slippery when wet, or when dropped onto the floor, makes a puddle that anybody in the ring can slip in, as demonstrated by Iori below. One neat little thing is that when hit by the water, it negates any fire effects from the Toaster. It's sort of a counter effect, really.

A few confirmed details from this image.

First off, Makoto and Ritsuko are among the characters where when holding select at them on the character select screen, you can have them in their First Vision hairstyles, meaning Makoto with Boy-ish Hair and Ritsuko with Wendy's Braids return!

In addition, if hit hard enough, Ritsuko's glasses will be knocked right out of her face. This is not just a cosmetic change. Ritsuko's overall strength increases, unfortunately her HP total decreases as a result. A special command allows you to remove her glasses and put them back on at any time.



I LOVE how this picture turned out! Makoto looks really good and Ritsuko (one of my darlings) also looks fantastic! And yes, Grace, I made sure Makoto looks as perfect as possible.

Those are both incredibly awesome. I gotta say, I love the inclusion of random items. Reminds me a bit of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where you just find random baseball bats and laser guns and flowers lying around and you can use them to hurt people.

-Minami, in arcade mode, was given a challenge to prove that she can do pro-wrestling along with the many other things she's already good at. Being an athlete, she accepts.
-Minami is another unique character. She has a special command that allows her to grab her opponent and headbutt them. Once she does that, doing that command again has her perform one of her opponent's special moves. Essentially, a Dittto Fighter.
-Her finisher, Merciful Venus, has her bring the opponent close to her (in a slightly suggestive view) as she then grabs their arms, tosses them into the air and does a heavy suplex on them.
-Minami is a middleweight character who excels at every aspect, making her a lightning bruiser.

Today's character spotlight is on another member of the JWSF Super Stars. Please welcome, Marie Susan. Here's the character design with both casual and wrestling attires.



Picture this. She is the most perfect girl in school. She's smart, pretty, kind, and just about every positive quality a human being can have. Kinda makes ya a bit sick, don't it? XD! Anyway, that's where Marie Susan comes in. She was designed with the Mary Sue character archetype in mind and is something of a parody of it. Even though she's so perfect, she doesn't have as much screentime as Ayako and ESPECIALLY Ellen.

Marie's backstory has her move to Japan and everybody being weirded out by her perfect demeanor. Rumors have begun to spread that she's some sort of alien or cyborg who is pretending to be a human. Marie then becomes depressed that she cannot make a single friend at school, despite being such a sweet girl. She decides on one thing that'll make the people start to love her: enter the entertainment industry. She thought that being an idol was the most overrated option, so she went with professional wrestling. After all, it IS highly valued in Japan.

I had a good time drawing Marie, though I will say that the wrestling attire came out SO much better than her casual outfit. Her mouth especially in the casual pic just looks so weird. :/ Oh well. Any thoughts on Marie?

Haha, she's so perfect. I do really like her character design, though (and Minami's outfit, at that). Marie is the kind of character I'd want to play as and lose purposefully just so I can make fun of how perfect she is.

English Voice Cast

Only for 765Pro's 14 idols and 876Pro's 3 idols, they will have English voice actresses. These casting choices, for me, are based on the Englisg Dubs for Hyperdimension Neptunia, BlazBlue, and the current voice cast for the Sonic series. FYI, you have the option to switch to the original Japanese from the Options Menu.

I don't recognize a lot of these voice actresses/actors, but the ones I do recognize, I totally approve of!

I always thought if iM@S comes to America, I'd want Makoto voiced by Caitlyn Glass. :/ But that's it.

In the English dub, Julie Ann Taylor plays Tsubaki while Lauren Landa plays Litchi. What's scarier is that I can imagine Chihaya and Azusa with those voices.

I thought for a minute she was the girl who'd voiced Maggie Mui in the English dub of R.O.D -The TV- (which would have been another Casting Gag), but alas, I was wrong.

Oh yeah, I assumed that! I've only seen the BlazBlue anime in subs, so. But hey, that means it'll work!
