Grace's Project Idea/This Thread Doesn't Have a Witty Title

The more I listened to Kaerimichi (Emiri Kato voiced Hachikuji in Bakemonogatari), the more I realized her voice was closer to the one I wanted for Guru than Momoko Saito's was. So I made the switch. :)
--- Quote from: ZetaFlare on February 23, 2014, 06:22:34 am ---That's a good move, especially if you're considering "gameplay." A unit that is able to appeal well to each end of the spectrum will fare much better in auditions, festivals, etc.
I actually thought Neku's song would actually be something cat-themed like Nekomimi Switch.

I actually have no idea if units are going to be involved in this or not, unless I specify a certain unit that exists (like Ryuuguu Komachi, for instance--the player doesn't get to decide who's in that). Because if I left it reader's choice, that'd make it AT LEAST ten times harder for me to write. I'd have to write routes for every possible combination. And there's 20 idols. I don't think I have the patience for that. XD
I haven't heard many cat-themed songs, actually. I mostly listen to singers like Kana Uemura, Eri Kitamura, and KOKIA, who have serious songs and don't sing very cute things, so they don't have cat songs. If I watched more anime or listened to more Vocaloid or played Dream C Club I'd probably have been able to think of one. So, for now, Neku's going to keep her songs the way they are. :)

Byakura: Sugar Sweet Nightmare (Horie Yui) and Melody (Hanazawa Kana)

Don't you think that Dunbine tobu is a bit extremal? I don't think Enra is concerned about fighting so much. I have alternatives (don't worry, those are songs by Kaori Shimizu).

Katachi aru mono is the song that Takane covered.. it's getting interesting. ;)
I think Hikari,

and Dear...

by Yui Horie would match her better.

I have found a song called Takarajima by Ali project:

It's a discrepant song, just like Chihaya-Master Uane.
I would also recommend Kioku no kusari by Aira Yuuki:

No units please, I prefer solos. ;)
Amazing_Grace:
Honestly, I didn't choose the songs based on the lyrics, but rather how they sound. The way that the songs sound (and how the people sound when singing them) is what I focused on. :) The reason I chose Dunbine Tobu as opposed to anything else was because Kaori Shimizu sounded the most like how I wanted Enra to sound. :) And Katachi Aru Mono, I chose to appeal to the side of Enra that still really appreciates softer music.
I'm planning on adding a couple songs to the list and switching Byakura's Yui Horie song from Sugar Sweet Nightmare to Honoo no Katachi. :3
I've heard that one, yeah. But I think I'll keep Uane's songs the way they are--Datengoku no Sensen has a lot of difficult intervals and tempo changes that really show off Arika Takarano's singing prowess and appeals to the part of Uane that wants to show off to everyone. And Kanashimi wo Mukou He is just pretty. XD
I plan to keep solos. :3 There might or might not end up being a little unit that branches off from the main group consisting of Kenchi, Yori, and Fuyu, inspired by a video I saw of KOKIA singing Kanashikute Yarikirenai with Kana Uemura and two other male singers I don't know the name of.
But there's no way I can write out all the different combinations of reader-chosen units. XD

Another update!:
Went back and gave everyone two songs. Haru has Hanabi by Yumi Hara now, Ruka has Renai Circulation, Koko got Overfly by Haruna Luna, and Hiromi has Tsumetai Heya, Hitori by Takahashi Mikako. Also, I switched one of Kenchi's from Closer to GLIDE. Because GLIDE sounds awesome when guys sing it. And Byakura's been switched from Sugar Sweet Nightmare to Honoo no Katachi. Not only do I adore that song, but I think Yui Horie's voice sounds a biiit more like Byakura in that song than in Sugar Sweet Nightmare. You know?
Also switched one of Chiharu's songs from LAMENT ~Yagate Yorokobi o~ to Rise.
Added a fun fact to Soumin. She now uses a Korean honorific ("-ssi") to address people.
Annnyways. Lots of edits in the works, yeah. Also, now, in addition to the prologue and your meeting with Fuyu, I'm in the midst of writing out the first meeting of the All-Stars and 765 Pro.
Amazing_Grace:
Finished the girls' first meeting with 765 Pro. This will take place after you meet the All-Stars in the actual book (after all the meetings if it's all in one book, and after each individual meeting in each separate book if they are separate books). Now working on a communication with Kenchi where you get to learn more about him, and then I'll be working on a lesson, probably with either Enra or Neku since people seem to like those two.
Might post a poll somewhere where people can vote on how they want it written. Because I still need help.
