Become a top idol! Story Mode, start!
In this “game,” the year is divided into four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each season has 13 weeks. Some special events occur only during certain seasons. An example of the display for the week would be “Spring 1,” the first week of spring.
Each day is divided into three time slots.
Lessons take one time slot. Hard lessons take two.
Promotions (communication events) take two time slots.
Auditions, concerts, and festivals take three time slots.
Lessons function like they have in iM@S2: Voice, Dance, and Expression.
Auditions function like they have in iM@S1.
Concerts and festivals function like they have in iM@S2.

Week 1: Meet Your Leader
Kenji is on his way to the office of ZetaPro to begin his first day of work as a producer. He feels excited, but a little nervous at the same time. On your first playthrough, Kenji will pass by one of the idol candidates along the way. This is meant to be a slight introduction in terms of the girl’s personality and interests.
Kenji arrives at the production building, where he is greeted by the President. The President was once a very successful producer back in the day and he knows just how difficult the job can be. However, he is willing to aid Kenji and teach him everything he knows. Kenji’s job is, of course, to produce an idol from one of ZetaPro’s candidates and guide them through the path to stardom. Cue the Character Select screen. Kenji can now choose one idol candidate to produce. The President then sends Kenji off to meet the candidate he has chosen.
Kenji meets his selected candidate and tells her that the President has appointed him to be the producer in charge of her. This means she can make her national debut and become a full-fledged idol. She will aim to appear on TV two weeks from today.
Kenji then sets up a meeting with his new idol to get acquainted with her and to hopefully leave a good impression on her.
Kenji can then use the rest of the day to set up a Lesson of his choice to get ready for the upcoming audition. This will give her enough experience to Level Up.
Week 2: The Unit is Complete
As Kenji returns for his second day, he’s in for shocking news. The President informs him that the idol he just selected to produce is going to be the leader of a 3-idol unit. Trios are all the rage these days, so Kenji will need to form a trio of his own to be able to compete. Plus, it will give the girls an opportunity to bond and discover incredible potential they never knew they had. Since the company is still relatively small, all of the candidates are acquainted with each other in some way, which really helps. Kenji realizes his job has been made three times more difficult, but he knows the President has faith in him and is not willing to let him down. Cue the Character Select screen. Kenji now chooses two more idol candidates to accompany the girl he met last week. The girls then meet their leader and their producer and have a little chat.
Kenji must now name his unit and give them an outfit and a song to use for their debut.
The President still knows Kenji is a little too young to drive the girls to work and back. He hires an assistant for him who will be in charge of driving the group and technical/mechanical support. Turns out it is Kenji’s friendly rival and singer-songwriter Kaito! Kaito is thrilled and is looking forward to working with Kenji. Maybe this might be the inspiration for a new song.
To prepare for the unit’s debut next week, Kenji sets up two Lessons. Not only will the unit be able to hone their skills for next week, but it allows them to bond a little. Two lessons will probably be enough to get the unit’s other members to Level Up. Everyone should be at least at Level 2 by now.
Week 3: The Big Debut
This is the day that Kenji’s unit will audition to appear on TV and make their national debut. Kaito drives the group to a TV studio in the Capital Region known for introducing fledgling idols. After the girls leave a good impression on the judge and have a quick pep talk with Kenji, they head out to audition.
AUDITION: Debut (forced win)
This is pretty much a gimme. It’s designed to teach the gist and strategies in auditions. Even if you’re not essentially perfect, you’ll still win.
Congratulations on your successful debut! You are now Rank F idols!
That evening, after Kenji and the girls return to the office, the President is watching the National Top 50 on TV. Everyone is surprised to see a new face in the #1 spot: NAZO, an idol unit that has only debuted two weeks ago. All three of their members have acquired national recognition since their childhood and their song God knows… became a major hit. Kenji’s idols are amazed by the performance. Hopefully, if they all work hard enough, they might one day be able to be as successful as them. Kenji would like that too, but he wants to focus on the present. Start small and work up. You have to start at the bottom before you can make it to the top.
Still, the President looks concerned…
