Not to mention MAKOTO'S NOT FREAKING LESBIAN. Hate to burst your bubble. But hey. It's canon, you guys. "Nice to girls" does not mean "in love with girls".
Sorry. I really, honestly, truly, do not like yuri pairings with the idols, not only because I really don't like yuri, but because I just don't like the idea of my girls being lesbos. I mean, most of them have canon crushes on Producer. So.
But this masterpiece of a thread is no place for Grace-Rants! This is a place for Zeta-Rants!
Both Asuka and Megumi kinda started out doubting themselves and made a journey to self-confidence. I love reading about that, and the girls are just so lovable! I'm really enjoying this.
Looking forward to more~!

:P Yeah, I could go on all day about what I have seen a few people say about Miki. Just because she brags a bit about her overdeveloped chest and canonically falls head-over-heels for the producer and because her puchi clings to every guy she sees doesn't mean she's a total S-L-U-T or "wants the D." That and people seem to label her as a stereotypical dumb/skanky blonde. Please don't soil mai hanii's name/innocence like that. :( Then there is my favorite pairing--Yayoi x Iori. Just because they are best friends doesn't mean they're lesbos. Same goes for "Spike-Top's" dedication for XenoChihaya.
Asuka did have a bit of a confidence battle mainly because (1) she was fighting her weak constitution and constant illnesses (thinking they might burden her unit) and (2) she wanted to become her own idol without relying on her father's legacy or living in Sakura's shadow.
Megumi, being the Yukiho type, grew realize she had so many people backing her up despite her lack of confidence (due to her sabotaged performance as a child) and over-apologetic, self-berating attitude. Being so alike and because Yukiho was almost named Megumi during iM@S's earlier stages of development, I really wanted Yukiho involved in Megumi's journey to find self-confidence too.

Please, compared to what I've seen, Miki's hots for her "Honey" is pretty much an innocent High School Crush. But I'm probably getting this thread off-topic, and I do sincerely apologize for doing that.

I do like that little nod to iM@S Arcade. Pretty rare to see those nowadays. It also reminds me of Ai and Yukiho forming a good friendship with each other in Dearly Stars due to both having a lack of confidence in themselves. This is a little off, and is not a criticism, but whenever I hear Megumi in anything iM@S-related, I think of Megumi Tokoro from Million Live!, who is, ironically, the complete opposite of Yukiho and your Megumi. Not a criticism against your work, just a little personal nuance I had while reading. :P

Yeah, I'm with you there. *sigh* It probably has to do with how attached I get to my girls. They're like my children. I love the idea of Makoto and Yukiho as best friends, but taking it a step further is just...no. Please.
Hey, others can like that stuff and that's OK with me, but if that's the case I should be allowed to not like it.
Honestly though, I seriously think XenoYukiho/XenoChihaya is practically canon. Like, it goes beyond dedication when Chihaya LICKS YUKIHO'S FACE. Not to mention I'm pretty sure Yukiho LICKS CHIHAYA'S SHOULDER at one point. That's just flat-out WEIRD. :o

I like Asuka. I think she's a nice, original character, and it's interesting to see an idol with a weak constitution since I don't recall ever seeing that before. :)
Adding Yukiho into Megumi's story was a nice touch. :3 It's great for me seeing the canon idols show up in the girls' routes but no Makoto yet D: to help encourage them along. It helps kinda show off how caring the 765 girls are in comparison to people like 961 or RyuuseiPro.

Okay, okay, okay. Let's get this thread back on topic here. I actually decided to run through another Story Mode route.
Kousaka Kaori’s Route
Kenji first meets Kaori at a nearby mall doing some shopping. She is running down the hall (a bit lethargically while her breasts bounce around like crazy) and appears stressed out. Before Kenji could try to talk with her, she immediately hides in the nearby bathroom. Soon, four boys run towards Kenji and ask him if he has seen a “luscious blonde babe with huge boobs” go by. Figuring they are probably pursuing Kaori, Kenji tells them he just saw her rush out the front door. Perhaps she was late for work or something. The boys, falling for his lie, immediately run out the door. Kaori soon emerges from the bathroom to check if the coast is clear. Kenji gets a good look at her and is amazed by her goddess-like beauty the President was talking about. He tries calling out to her, but she’s still aimlessly looking around. He then taps her shoulder, which is enough to get her attention. Kaori then asks him if he had seen four boys who were chasing after her. Kenji tells her what happened and soon gets her thanks for the help. Kaori is a bit confused after Kenji introduces himself. “Um…what’s a producer? How do you know my name? And how do you know the President?” It takes her a while to discover that she will debut under ZetaPro’s name. Kaori feels pretty happy now that Kenji straightened things out. He helps her carry her bags on the way back to the office.
It seems that striking up a conversation with Kaori can be quite the challenge. She constantly has her head in the clouds and is pretty slow to the trigger. It’s not that she’s lazy—she’s just incredibly ditzy. She can be a hard worker, but prefers to work at her own pace. How can someone like her become an idol?
On the day of her debut, one of the judges feels a sense of familiarity with Kaori’s name but allows her to audition nonetheless. Much to Kenji’s surprise, she feels very comfortable on stage and puts on a solid first performance. It’s almost like she has done this before…
