My first guesses are arcadia from Master Special 03, la festa sotto la luna from THE iDOLM@STER Radio: Utahime Rakuen, and possibly Nemuri Hime from Master Artist 2 First Season 05. Your description is from memory, right? I don't think that any of my guesses fit the pattern exactly.

Hmm...I took a look at the lyrics of the songs, and after listening to the song again (I have it on my iPod), from what I heard the lyrics of the songs you suggested didn't seem to match up to the song I'm thinking of.. ):
I once went through and listened to the lyrics, then wrote down what I heard. Obviously, these lyrics are wrong, especially since I'm not a native Japanese speaker so I don't know which words are actually words or not (not to mention Chihaya's English isn't the best, so some of the words may well be English), but if you guys think it would help, I could post what I heard here, and you could try to think of what matches up to that.
I do that with songs often. I call it "deciphering". I'm always way off once I find the real lyrics, though. XD

I will try. I think I can find it again, but no guarantees since my sister found it originally and videos I want seem to magically disappear from Youtube.
Also, Youtube is under parental block on my laptop. T_T Sigh. Tomorrow morning I get the block lifted, so I'll try to link you guys the song then. Until then, thanks for trying, I really appreciate it!
