Her new hair. When I first saw it my eyes went wide and it's like... I never knew a hairstyle could be so poignant. I'd always liked the "princess" style of long flowing hair that's just regal and natural but Iori's new hairstyle just hits the bullseye in my aesthetics zone I guess.
I've seen lots of anime and media of the "anime style" or character design but although it's possible... I don't think there's ever been any female character with her particular type of hair before, has there? It's the best hairstyle I've ever seen.
And sorry for any creepy vibes I might be giving off :P I swear I'm not like some stalker/masher who's going to be collecting wigs or anything. It's just before I liked Iori for her character qualities and for Queen TsundeRie's role, but now with her new hairstyle it's like... every single Iori pic is almost certain to be awesome. That gives me an idea for a avatar...

Iori is such a cute idol! She's my second favorite character (next to Makoto)! I like her second hairstyle better than her first.

Stepford wife hair?? That sounds scary. Don't be silly- we know Yayoi is the wife.
I'm no expert on hair styles, but I don't think it needs a name. What's unusual about it is it covers half her forehead- I guess the in-series reason is the relentless abuse she takes over her forehead. Most characters with that face type don't bother and just grin (snarl?) and bear it.
If that style does have a name, it would probably be derived from a celebrity.

Her old hair was a simple hime cut, but keeps the bangs behind her with a headband. There was an SP drama where she didn't wear a headband to show that point.
As for her new hair, I really don't know I guess what you guys have described it fits as well.
