If you do decide to get one, you should wait for a while longer.

When the Slim comes out, you can buy that. Or one of the original fat units who should see a price drop in an attempt to clear stocks.

Wasn't the PS3 Slim just a rumour? It's confirmed now?
What's the difference between the current one and the Slim? Nobody knows right?

Size isn't that important, unless you've got a small room.
The PS2 Slim had overheating issues, I'd expect a similar flaw with the PS3 Slim.

Soon you won't have a choice though, since all Sony is making from now on is the Slim variant. It's really only a move on their part to reduce loss of money on the production front.

Now, about iM@S on PS3, I recall seeing lots of members thinking it would never be possible, and they outright refused the idea, but now I'm seeing the same people thinking it could happen.

What's with the change?

I am thinking they aren't going to announce the next Im@s for consoles until all the systems have there new Motion Interactive sensors on store shelves.  If one assumes Second Vision focusses on making new gameplay elements, then Motion Interactivity could be used as part of the experience.
I am also going to assume they aren't going to add new idols to the mix (just keeping as many seiyuu as they have now is crazy) though that doesnt mean they won't make an extra support character.

duh?

They could have thought about that fact when somebody brought up the idea of a PS3 version right there and then. Why did it take months for some members to go "Wait a minute...this could be a good thing."?

So yeah, I'll be behind a PS3 version 100% next year seeing as how Sony's been noticing the nice amount of revenue iM@S SP DLC has been coming up with on the PSN.

You see, back then not many members knew the PS3 was region free for some reason.

Back then, I didn't think it'd happen until the announcement of SP.

Not so fast Sam, the PS3 in general went down in price, which means you'll also get the Slim for $300.
Just wait a bit bro.

The very reason a Slim variant of the PS3 was made. To cut down on production costs.
Also, the average consumer would be more likely to buy a PS3 for $300 than $400. Wouldn't you think so too?
