So the layout for each idol seems to consist of a live, a festival (with a rival geared against your idol's particular stat), an audition, and another festival against Leon using the idol's new song. You actually unlock the song after the audition, but you unlock a new stage and get that idol's max level extended to 40 once you beat Leon. She also does have some interaction with each idol this time, at least.

Level extensions from DLC? Argh... I wanted to skip at least one of the character sets... But i guess the S1 and S2 rank events from the last patch are geared towards the higher level idols, this explains how you are supposed to reach such crazily high scores.
