Thanks Setsuna,

I have the UFO stage, and I knew of the Tree stage.  I wasn't aware they brought the Candy one back, though I guess I'm not really surprised since they were all DLC in the last game.  But that answers my question I suppose, since if I get both of those I will be at 41 stages.

I wasn't doubting that there's 41 stages, and I didn't even know that page was missing a couple of them. I figured that any incomplete collection of stages would be missing one of those three special quintet stages, like in my case where I still haven't seen the UFO stage appear. I'm guessing those are all Rank S stages (at least the Tree stage is, can't recall for the Candy).

The im@s 2 DLC stages are S3s from memory, so if you're missing any, you'll need to look at the S3 audition, S3 live, or S3 FES.

Some other common stages is missing one of the TVs (which I found out) and some of the FES stages (which Byuusan found).

Surprisingly, one of the missing stages on the JP wiki for a while was one of the TV stages. We had a lot of fun trying to figure that one out.

The ones (last we checked anyway when we did a cross check) currently missing (or were at any point) are Sweet Christmas and Shiny TV, which are a im@s 2 DLC stage and OfA exclusive stage respectively.

I get a lot of people who told me 'Just check the JP/US wikis, the information is accurate trust me', and upon crosschecking we're finding gaps when I'm building information.

I've had a couple of people get upset when they're told of the deficiencies of the wiki sources, so I'm sort of used to people questioning why I would insist there is missing information.

btw, now that you found the missing stages, did you add the information to the wiki you used to cross check?

Not yet. The problem is that I'm not exactly really a 'translation source' and I can't replicate the kana to add the stages themselves, because I'm terrible with HTML, transliterating kana, and I'm waiting for at least one other person to object to the translations I've requested.

That and I've been dealing with a network authority problem (Namely, when you have to slowly explain to the person maintaining the network design and security that a connection running at 20-30% of capacity means we might as well not actually HAVE a connection running (or at the very least reduce the cost by 75%+) so I've been sort of busy.

Do you mean to get the text in japanese, or do you want to translate the stage name to english? I assumed you used a japanese wiki for the checking, but now it sounds more like english (since you are talking about translations).

If you just want the stage name in japanese with kana and kanji, i can write it down for you so you can copy & paste it, or just give me a link to the wiki in question. I'd need a screenshot/photo of the stage name though.

Translating might be a bit more difficult, since i assume most of the stages names don't make a whole lot of sense.

I normally arrange for a link with the JP wikis with the translator to confirm if they're all there, then we do accounting to find out what's not.
I'm also looking for translators (Maka has kindly provided her time to translate some items as it is, with the costumes done already) for the flavour text that accompanies all items.

A translation for all the items currently in catalog 1 and the base game has been completed, as it is part of the build process for the compendium.

(If you're wondering, we're about 75% done, with the coding needing to be finished due to how requests have to work. It's quite a task, and Crisu is doing it all as a volunteer programmer with my job being QA, design and backbone logic, so I'm not going to jump up and down at him for the donation for his time. Without him, the project would go exactly nowhere.)

I also have screenshots of every item which can be provided, so transliteration can be added, and feed back into the Japanese Wikis can be done.

I'm unfamiliar with how to use a wiki and if someone else would like to post various corrections from the data I have, I'm happy to hand over said data for their use. I'd like both the JP wikis I know of (I believe they're linked in the OfA thread) to be updated, as well as the wiki here and anywhere else that carries the information in question.

If you want the files, please PM me and I'll send links (there's quite a few and I don't like providing operational files in the clear until we're at least done with them, since they're frankly huge). You'll need to be able to open a .tga though.

I am also aware of various other mistakes (mostly with claims about what items are new to OfA and the like, since well, I HAVE done the idolm@ster 2 compendium, so I know exactly what was brought over as well) but as I said, I'm terrible with HTML and I've never done wiki edits.

Yeah, I used picture references just to make sure I didn't miss any stages before, and then I noticed that some stages had flipped versions with some minor differences. I was missing one of the storm stages because of that.

On an unrelated note, are there any other special conditions in-game for getting all costumes and accessories? I've just bought out LUCKY RABBIT, BK MANIAC is at 90% or so, and I'm going through those Rank-A paid promotions with each idol for those special accessories. BK MANIAC isn't showing anything new, so I assume more stuff will come when I hit a higher P Rank?

Though some of the stuff in the original quoted post on page 32 was debunked, I think this point from that post might be relevant...
2) You need to be a minimum of rank 20 to unlock everything.

Why? 6 costumes, and one accessory (head) will not be sold to you until you reach the first gold rank.

In short? You're playing for at least 10 seasons, regardless if you like it, or not.
Since you didn't mention your current P Rank, thought this would be more helpful.

The fun part is that it's me doing my own debunking, since that was written before more investigation. There's actually 41 stages (all since been located), and you need to win an IE to gain the item to unlock the event you need to win to unlock Acceleration in the Guests section of S4U.

The rest is accurate, particularly the 'take the idols out on a promotion' one. You'll need to take out each idol at least once on a promotion (I did an A3 paid) to get one accessory from each of them, since you'll buy out both BK and Lucky Rabbit, and still have holes in your accessory list.

While a very minor point, I do like (for most of the idols, anyway, some just feel like they came from left field) that the promotion accessories per-idol tend to fit with the given idol, whether in personality or motif. (I especially liked Makoto's promo item being the giant leg bear, given her focus anime episode.)

Edit: Probably a more general question, but is there a way to post the images you've taken in the game somewhere, and/or transfer them to a location where they'd be uploadable/online/etc.? While the picture-taking is a nice feature (and has been in iM@S2 also), I'm unsure how much practical use I'd get out of it besides; I wouldn't want to have to record footage of a still picture just to have a still picture which'll likely have a quality drop. I could ask others but given my pickiness for aesthetics I'd probably be better off doing so myself XP
Also, does anyone know if players have figured out how to mute BGM, or vice versa (muting vocals) for OFA specifically?

Yeah, I forgot to mention I'm at Rank 18 or so, almost at gold. That makes sense, and at least that gives me time to grind more money.

In response to your recent questions, I'm not sure if you can transfer videos or photos. I do know the OFA pictures are way better than iM@S2's pictures, but I haven't seen anything about saving them like in G4U. I'm also positive that you can't mute the BGM for performances, which I'm sure also applies to vocals.

EDIT: Turns out they changed some stuff for the better this game. In Options, you can turn down the Voice (bottom sound bar) to 1 for performances without all that crowd noise. I'm actually happy I noticed this myself. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work as well for the Vocals and the BGM, though your closest match would be to push up the BGM and lower the Vocals to 1. I've noticed the vocals go lower than the BGM, but you can still hear either at their lowest.

In short, you can mute the crowd... and that's about it.

BEYOND THE STARS. THERE YOU ARE. AAAAARRRRRRRHHHHH. DX

Yeah, I'm slightly gutted... yet frankly this does make sense to expect. In honesty, though, it's indeed nice they've bundled a costume per song.

Provided there's a tangible discount, obviously.
