I'm a PSN Plus member on my european account and when i started the console yesterday it told me that the patch has been downloaded while the console was on standby. So i don't think you need to log in with the japanese account.

So it seems that after talking with a friend of mind who has a physical copy, the patch only seems to pop up for people playing it on disc. I'm not sure how many people here have gone digital like me, but I still haven't seen any patch either from PSN or from my Plus download last night. My game is still labeled as 1.00 too, so I'm starting to think the patch is something incredibly minor and only for the disc version.
That's all I can assume, anyway. It's the only explanation for why I still haven't seen a patch yet.

I played Tonari Ni... after the patch and I didn't notice a difference in the voltage rise tbh but maybe I'm stupid

Apparently the new DLC is coming out on Serika's VA's birthday, June 25th.
