I'm not about to complain about free DLC, especially something that looks so good.

I've been wondering is there going to be someone slapping together an english wiki for OFA like we had for the last game? it was super helpful.

In case you mean this one: http://imas2.wota.info/

That was actually a translation of a japanese wiki, mostly done by a single person. After he translated it i helped him to reorganize and enhance it, and correct a few mistakes here and there or making things more clear.

I don't know how much time he invested for the translation, but it must have been A LOT. Just making the sound files to show the last appeal took me ages, and that was only a small part...

I think it has more chances to come to fruition if we make it as a collaborate effort, especially since we don't have a more or less complete japanese wiki we can simply translate. Alone listing correct communication answers and stuff like that would already be a huge help, especially for those who don't speak japanese. I'd definitely be willing to help.

I generally wing it after finding a JP wiki with some base information. I've worked with machine translations for a long, long time, and I'm an ex journalist, so winging it is pretty standard.

But yeah, what usually happens is the person I'm working with usually helps me compile notes after I apply field testing. It's not a particularly easy way to do it, but it works.

Unfortunately the person who usually helps me do it isn't interested in im@s, so I'm just looking around for help.

Oh, and for those who are math disinclined, the totals for Catalog 1 are:

Guests: 1500 yen
Song: 1800 yen
All Costumes: 3750 yen
All Accessories: 980 yen
All Cell conversations (for catalog complete unlocks):2980 yen

Total for Catalog Complete: 11010 yen

Yes, there's a catalog complete item in there. It's an accessory.

Oh and Star Piece Memories is free until 7/30 (From what I saw of the magazine scans anyway). It'll get a price after that.

Or in short, Catalog 1 DLC is about 40% more than the game ITSELF. And people wonder why I said I can't afford to keep doing the recording for free anymore.

Azusa solo of Only My Note. They changed her Luxury costume a bit, and I know Ami's Starry outfit was changed, so I wonder if there are more costume changes.

Yup, totally got Street Im@s 2 Turbo vibes from that one, though the performance was quite nice. :P

Couple that with the fact iM@S 2 had 18 catalogs, an amount which does look to carry over to OfA given Namco's track record, it really does go beyond the spectrum of insanity. The recording fee is justified; money just doesn't grow on trees.

Suddenly, bow-wow-wow~. :3

im going to copy and paste a post i saw on gamefaqs, seems to be footage of the first 15 minutes of the game and some stats for the idols
"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sumAErKOj3w

Initial stats
DA. VI. VO. Name - Total Points
14 21 17 Yuhiko - 52
23 20 19 Makoto - 62
23 25 19 Iori - 67
19 14 16 Yayoi - 49
23 19 26 Ritsuko - 68
21 20 30 Chihaya - 71
16 18 22 Haruka - 56
17 26 20 Miki - 63
24 18 20 Hibiki - 62
17 21 22 Takane - 60
20 16 14 Mami - 50
20 16 14 Ami - 50
16 22 19 Azusa - 57

Garbage Tier: Yayoi, Ami, Mami, Yukiho
Mid Tier: Haruka, Azusa, Takane, Makoto, Hibiki, Miki
OP Tier: Iori, Ritsuko, Chihaya

The stats are fair with a few exceptions:
-Iori with second highest dance AND visual
-Ritsuko with second highest dance AND vocal
-Hibiki is underrated in dance even though #1 in dance (24, with 26 being the best VI and 30 the best VO)"

So in other word, for point scoring reasons, don't go dance as a core?

Hm. Shame that Yukiho got the shaft, but it's nice that I'll be having Chihaya and Ritsuko in my unit as well to compensate. :3

Well, the Futami/Yayoi/Yukiho unit was the weakest in the first idolmaster too. The tradeoff is that they're really easy to take care of. It's the reverse for the Iori/Ritsuko/Chihaya unit.

Never truly played an iDOLM@STER game, but judging from these stats, my unit for my first playthrough (if it ever happens) would probably be Azusa, Makoto, and Chihaya as a way of balancing out both tiers and types. Would a unit like this make the game an easy, or at the very least standard, experience?
