The iDOLM@STER: One For All (PS3)

Setsuna:
It's just a historical note about how DLC is traditionally run for im@s games.

Based of historical pricing:

DLC songs are usually 1800 each

Each Extend costume type is 1500
Each non-Extend costume 1000
Each accessory is usually 300 yen each
Each accessory pack is 980 yen each

Each other game accessory item is from memory 1000 yen for the bundle, but don't quote me on the last one.

All items need to be grabbed to unlock the DLC item complete pack, except the in game money, which I always ignore in the calculations.

So from what I (and now, everyone else) knows about DLC catalog 1:

1x1800 + 2x 1500 + 1x 1000 + 980 + 1000

= 6880 + 1 item which may be promotional, so the price isn't known. It may be free.

Should note that Ranko is bundled with one of the DLC costumes - For those who don't know, Ranko's costume can be worn by all the 765 cast.

It remains to be seen how many costumes Ranko can wear, or how many songs she can sing out of the 765 repertoire. G4U was a separate mode, which only gave access limited access to extend only costumes for the 876 crew.

If that promotional is a limited time free thing, the final price before discounting (usually reserved 2 years after a game's release) after the free period will be 7880 yen.

Which if I recall correctly more than the actual game itself.

Of course, the pricing isn't formal yet (Since I'm working off a prototype sheet) but that should explain my note about how expensive it is.

And people don't believe me when I say that the game isn't very expensive compared to the upkeep costs, and that if they wanted to save money, they'd be better off considering a cheaper hobby.

Nor do people believe me when I tell them that DLC makes up a significant amount of NBGI's im@s revenue either, more than the game itself.

It's was ¥7600 (same as the standard edition retail price), but now it's ¥8208 but discounted to ¥7650 until 7/30 instead: - http://ofa.idolmaster.jp/spec/

And yeah, I've spent over ¥25000 on IMAS2 DLC and that's after waiting for the sales T_T

Cien Laguoire:
Dude. You spent $260+ Canadian on Im@s DLC?!

He's lucky. He got to pick what he wanted.

I hope you're sitting down for this next revelation.

I can confirm I spent over 120000 yen (18 catalogs worth) for im@s 2, but that was for compendium building reasons.

When I said that im@s makes more money off the DLC than the base game, I really, REALLY, REALLY was not kidding.
