It's also going to be very, very, very expensive.

I don't know if the price changed from when I saw the draft (I think they were tossing up if one of the DLC gets an introductory discount) but if you want to buy out the first catalog...

You'll have to spend more than the entirety of the cost of the game itself to do so.

The DLC for idolmaster 2 was announced like a month in advance, I'm not remotely surprised.

Sold as soon as this, considering that this was one of my favorite songs (no, not every idol will sound good singing it, but all the same that's the case for most of the franchise's songs).
The red/black extend and associated accessories do not look bad at all either (same with the mermaid costume, but mermaid costume's a bit more themey than red-black outright, so it's not so appealing to me as a buyer)
Could honestly care less about Star Piece Memories, but I think it's just because I don't like the outfit design in general. I think it's the spikiness of the appearance, similar to Wired Marionette which I'm only slightly fonder of. I'm just glad this means it's not the preorder outfit
I think I've said before, but as I don't really follow CG, I only really care about Ranko if her outfit can be used by other idols, I'm not much for getting the rivals on their own because the use in rivals themselves is so limited (yes, different outfit swaps, but I came into iM@S for songs, and rival units are limited in them - as a person who tends to leave a video on alt-tab while multitasking, outfits don't mean QUITE as much to me for them) - but I love the outfit (if it can be used, I wonder if it'll have the higher-than-norm stats Ai/Eri/Ryo's outfits had).

...that begs the question, will we be able to eventually use Ai/Eri/Ryo's outfits in OFA itself, and what will the stats be for those outfits (since in that instance they'd no longer be DLC content)?

That being said, I do hope there will be some discount for some of the initial DLC (as it is, it WOULD make sense if so).

they made it even more expensive? i was going to get that version but considering id have to get like a 10000 yen points card to purchase it i figured i might as well get the limited edition set for a couple more bucks lol

I'm not sure if there was actually a price spike on the downloadable version of the game that I haven't heard about, but, most of the conversation from the above page (after Chance's post) is talking about the extra Downloadable Content (extra content is typical for most of the iM@S games), as there is some being distributed on release, and we've been talking about costs related to that.
(wanted to clarify in case of any confusion caused)
