The iDOLM@STER: One For All (PS3)

Naryoril:
in the meantime i managed to download the DLC, so far i have only finished Yukiho's story.

The S1 rank up festival is somehow strange. The enemies burst skill is the same as Ai's in a very early rank up festival: Your appeals only give 10 points during their burst. But nevertheless, i somehow lost the first attempt at the rank up, i still don't know how... In the second attempt i easily won the first 2 songs...

I didn't have any trouble at all beating Leon with Yukiho, but she was S1 rank (no special new skills there), lvl 45 with 5 memory appeals. I just used the memory 4 times while making sure Leon had some voltage gauge i could kill with it. Then ultimate burst and from there on just bursting whenever possible. Fortunately she didn't use her memory appeals before i got off my ultimate appeal. I can see how the fight against her gets difficult if she does or when you have less memory appeals, but 4 have to be enough.

Couldn't check the all star live yet either, since i was in the autumn season.

And it looks like at level 50 you'll have the exact number of skill points you need to buy all skills, which wasn't the case at the end of the first 2 DCL packs.

Seems like One for All has been added to Japan's "The Best" titles, and has therefore been lowered in price! Personally I'd want to wait for iM@S PS4 to come out since more and more titles are coming out but this seems like such a great deal.

And a question to English-speaking players; have you been enjoying the game even with considerably low knowledge of Japanese? I would jump at a PS3/4 but only if gameplay has been enjoyable enough for English speakers.

AkuAkane:
I know absolutely no Japanese, and I still enjoyed Idolm@ster 2. Given; I was pretty sad I couldn't understand the girls and it did make playing the main mode of the game very boring after like two playthroughs since I was just skipping through text.

TheTanStar:
Knowing Japanese is not a requirement to play the games. However, knowledge of Japanese does improve the experience of playing the games. Understanding the dialogue helps tremendously with understanding the characterization, which is a big part of the series. Even so, the games are perfectly enjoyable without being fluent in Japanese.

Virgofall:
iM@S2 was enjoyable, though like AkuAkane said, produce mode can get very boring very quickly if you don't understand what's going on.
OFA, I find, is more enjoyable as someone with limited knowledge, and if you were a fan of one of the RK girls, you don't have that character limitation in OFA. I know some have said that it stales a bit quicker than 2.

They are still different games (on a gameplay level), though. Various mechanics changes between 2 and OFA (e.g. Burst Counters didn't exist in 2, and you could only get Memories via Promotions) mean that you can't play one game like you'd play the other.
