Losing her voice more had to do with a throat condition she had however. (which is separate from how the anime and older drama CD that also used this concept which is what you might be thinking of.) It is inspired by a similar real life condition as well. I admit I forgot the graveyard introduction also tends to be a staple, but my point still stands the amount of focus on the topic has reduced throughout the games.

While it was handled a bit differently in Im@s 2, I think losing her voice was similar to the anime and New Stage drama in that the cause was related to her little brother's accident (so her background story).
In im@s 2, her family doctor states there's no organic cause to her throat condition and likely a psychological cause (which is inferred came from the accident). In the ending, when she finally loses her voice permanently and is crying on your shoulder, you finally speak with her little brother telling him (I love her!! I want her to keep singing!). The next day she's 100% cured with no residual effects.
It was handled a bit differently in Im@s 2 in that it happened for some time (comes and goes) especially in her route, but she kept pushing herself to continue singing. So, a lot of the dialogue involved struggling with voice loss which was getting worse as time went by because she wanted to keep going. She also wanted you to abandon her so you can follow your dreams when she loses her voice permanently. She doesn't want to hold you back since she cares about you and feels she's not useful to you anymore.
While in the anime it just happened once and she gave up entirely (well I guess to be fair it was larger in scale since it was a news scandal).
Still, I interpret the struggling with voice loss as part of her background story since it stemmed from her past.
(Sorry, for adding in too much details. This is just for me to refresh my memory. I forget stuff easily).

Her story this time seems to be focusing on opening up more to others despite her reputation for being mysterious, possibly the other 765 idols since she's in her training gear in the PV.
Rin:
If that's going to be a main way they reveal more and more songs, then I look forward to them even more.
Byuusan:
if EdeN confirmed i guess we can assume Visionary and Vault That Borderline! is too?
Can't wait to see all the other idol's solo trailers.
