The event was fine (especially Haruka picking MASTER difficulty in starlight stage cause "its idolMASTER" haha) and the mini-live was nice, but not a word about ps4 imas.

This sounds like a hindsight bias, but I had the feeling it was a bit too early to start revealing specific information about PS4 Im@s given it's been 1 year 4 months since OFA, and they're still going through the discount catalogs.  Im@s 2 (Xbox360) came out about 3 years before OFA.  And, Im@s 1 (Xbox360) came out 4 years before Im@s 2 (Xbox360), but the longer gap was probably because they released Live for You and SP in between.

That 10th anniversary teaser was likely just a treat to those that attended the concert.  After all, it's the 10th anniversary.

It's not like there's tons of fans that couldn't make it to the live after all.  ::)

That's true.  I guess I would have expected at least the teaser from the 10th anniversary to show up at TGS.

But, maybe Namco felt that the teaser was too unpolished to show to the public, and they don't want everyone to judge the graphics/Haruka's model that early.  I guess they felt obligated to show it at the 10th annivesary since that's Im@s biggest event.

Of course, it would have been nice to see the teaser at TGS since not everyone was able to go to the concert.

I can't explain it, but it felt like they were rewarding us for being there even though it was such a short tease.
And I think in a way people were expecting it.

When they announced everything else before going into the encore, it really felt like a build up to something better than everything they had just announced. It really built up some extra energy to be able to cheer in encore I was nearly out of energy because it was my first time at a live ;__;

Yeah, I was kinda tilting my head(insert shaft tilt here) at the thought of them showing a trailer for the next game so soon in the first place when it's only been a little over a year since OFA.  I'm content/relieved just knowing that they're already working on another main game.  So it's all good.  ;D

well, they announced the PS4 game even before OfA afaik. At least the PS4 game was announced long before OfA was released.

New info will be announced towards the end of January in Famitsu and a Nico live stream. (so yes it's technically an announcement for an announcement)

The good news is this'll probably be our first real big look at the game if they're doing both releases at the same time period.

While I'm happy that we're finally getting something, I have to admit that this feels a bit too late for an official reveal. I still feel like the game should've been shown off at TGS this year.

I think it's due to the game being announced way before they even started development on it, while OFA was just a "hey, here's this new game" out of the blue.

While I can see where you're coming from there, the fact that they showed a teaser for it at the 10th Anniversary and nothing at TGS still feels a bit off to me. If it weren't for that, then I'd probably be less skeptical of this.

I admit I was bummed they didn't show anything at TGS, but maybe they wanted a bigger reveal that would take a few more months to prepare?

imas 2's earlier trailers were misleading which lead to hype for things that weren't going to be in the game, so maybe they wanted to prevent something similar this time around.
