Roswell:
They change based on the costume. Elize plays Go My Way cause hers is Haruka. Shiny Smile for Hibiki Leia and My Best Friend for Takane Milla. If you have multiple characters in battle wearing costumes that have their own battle bgm, then it'll be decided by party order.

Like if you're playing as Elize in Haruka's costume, it will play Go My Way. If nobody in the first player slot has a costume with bgm, then it will play the 2nd character slot or 3rd (if none in either 1st or 2nd), etc.

The costumes also change the post-battle screen music to the title screen music of im@s 2.  :)

Apparently "Tales of Graces" also had some iM@S costumes with special music. The costumes are from "Dearly Stars", so the special songs are instrumental versions of 876's character songs.

i bought the DLC as well, gotta support im@s stuff in the west ;) And the costumes actually look really good on the Xillia girls, especially on Leia and Milla.
Seems like Namco is gradually bringing Im@s content to the west... let's hope this is a good omen for im@s 3

and i think the im@s 2 title screen music is surprisingly fitting as a victory music.
