Lucari-oh no! ZetaFlare sanjou!
« on: August 16, 2013, 06:14:47 am »
Hello Project iM@S! I'm Tony, alias ZetaFlare2011. I warn you though, I can get pretty silly and random now and then and once I'm locked in the zone, it's tough for me to break away! ;D

I've actually been a lurker of the forums and the Wiki for about a year and a half now and have finally convinced myself to register, join the chat, and share my fandom. I discovered iM@S via 360 and L4U footage in 2010 and became a huge fan a few months later. I'm a frequent poster on an iM@S fanpage on Facebook, always looking for new fanart on Pixiv, Tumblr, etc. I hope to enjoy my stay here!

Personal Info:

Real Name: Anthony "Tony" Zanolini
Sex: A manly man!
Country of Origin: where Guile and Ken come from
Age (upon joining): Himitsu desu.
"Hoobies:" Playing percussion instruments (my go-to instrument) and piano (just for fun), playing video games, PowerPoint animations, some drawing/sketching here and there, watching anime and game shows, (recently) attending anime conventions here and there, accidentally talking to myself :P

=Q&A=

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: Through several Stage4U request videos on YouTube.

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: To be at one with fellow iM@S fans.

Q: Do you play it?
A: Not yet.

Q: Do you wish you could play it? (Ignore this part if above answer is "Yes")
A: Yes! (once I find one at a decent price)

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: All of them! I also like Ai, Eri, and a few Cinderella Girls.

Q: Why is your username "<insert username here>"?
A: I picked the Greek letter Zeta as my last name starts with a Z.

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: Pokémon, iDOLM@STER, Love Live, Disgaea, Neptunia, Fire Emblem, Zelda, Tales, Shin Megami Tensei, Digimon, Carmen Sandiego, several game shows...not letting the list go on forever.

Q: What is your motto?
A: I can't decide. It changes daily and is usually random.

Q: Who's your favorite singer(s) right now?
A: To be honest, I really don't have a favorite.

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: Trying to cook up some good ideas, specifically for new PowerPoint animation series. I even have a few OC idols in mind...

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Not sure, actually. I guess I won't know until I find out.

Cool, where've you been?

Only three so far: Anime Conji in San Diego, Fanime-con in San Jose, and Anime Expo in LA.

Me too! If you make any great finds, new or old, you can post a link somewhere on this forum. :D I guess we usually post fanart (that we haven't made ourselves) in the character topics.

Edit: Wait, there's also Group Images and Pairing images, but you probably already knew that. ;)

Expo! Cool one to go to - never been myself, but it's pretty big and prolific.

Oh yeah... welcome to the forums! I predict it'll get a little more active here after the TGS concert...

Yup. I was one of the Producers (just went in a suit, aiming for the Akabane-P look). I only went Thursday and Friday, and despite the fact that the flash bulb in my old camera died, I had a fun time up there.

MUCH bigger than Fanime-con, that's for sure. Quite a few anime (Funimation, Aniplex, Sentai Filmworks) and game companies (NGBI, NISA, Aksys) came along for the ride and I got to purchase/preorder a few games and merchandise as well as pick up a couple of freebies. It's a shame a few of the games/anime DVDs I've been searching for there were a tad overpriced IMO...mostly by random dealers who sell Japanese imported items and keep the wrapping on.

:D I was thinking of going as Touma myself, but I didn't muster up enough of the proper materials, especially the wig. Plus, I wear prescription glasses, so I figured "Broducer might be a better choice for me.

Thing I've found is that a lot of the time, you can find something at a con online, and if you know where to look, you can often get it cheaper. Even more, some stores sell import games and systems, but they don't tell you whether you're getting the Asian or Japanese versions.

Imagine seeing a CD selling for 25 bucks, when you can buy it in Japan for 13. Factoring in international shipping, you're paying about the same amount... but then you can buy other things from Japan as well, and pay the same shipping fee across all the stuff you get at once.

So, I tend to look for stuff that I can't easily find. Figures are something I keep an eye on too, since you can inspect the figure right there. Finally, there's the impulse buys.

Hmm, I ought to keep that in mind next time, especially if I see a Japanese import game I'm interested in (iM@S SP, 2, etc.).

I'm a bit late, but welcome!

I also like Zelda, Digimon, Pokémon, Love Live!, and Neptunia (only the show, as I don't have a PS3).

If you have Android or an iOS device, you can get a Neptunia app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hyperdimension-neptunia-app/id579845288?mt=8). There's also a Japanese version if you prefer Japanese voices.

If you have an iOS device and a Japanese iTunes account, you can get a Love Live! app.

I'll leave you with an image from the 6th episode of the Neptunia anime (1. The Chihaya picture isn't there in the show. It's just for reference. 2. It's also a K-ON! reference because her hair and guitar are like Azunyan's.):

Anyway, have fun while you're here!
