From what I've seen it's a pretty straight forward translation.

It certainly isn't Engrish, but don't expect any "Woolseyisms".

Yeah, I read your reply in the other topic.  So the translation captures the personalty of the idols pretty well.  Then actual translation is pretty good.  That's probably one of the most important thing.  Then what is with all the hate if the actual translation is pretty good?

Would you people want it to be released on the PSP with an average or mediocre translation?

Also, what is Woolseyisms?

ninjamitsuki:
The hate is mostly because of the high price.

Woolseysism are basically jokes that are added to an English translation when something from the Japanese version gets lost in translation/wouldn't make sense or when the script is spiced up.

Oh I see.  I'm just worried that some of the jokes, phrases, and sayings that pertain to Japanese Culture will be removed, since a Westerner wouldn't really understand, and replaced with something else.  This is where Fan translators come in handy.

ninjamitsuki:
As I said, no real "localization". It's all a very straight forward translation.

I actually do like when some liberties are taken to spice up the English script, but that kind of approach wouldn't work very well with iDOLM@STER.
