Hey, everyone! Glad to be here! I just ordered my copy of iM@S2 (PS3) last week, and I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival! In the meantime, I figured I'd introduce myself and try to find some like-minded folks!
Sadly, I have to admit that my first exposure to the franchise was Xenoglossia. I'd heard good things about iM@S before, but after a few episodes of that I just couldn't keep going. When the "real" anime came out a couple years ago, I decided to give the series another shot and I just fell in love with it. As if the song-and-dance routines weren't good enough, the show managed to make the characters more than just clichés given shape. They felt like real three-dimensional characters, had their own personalities, and even showed actual growth, and I loved every bit of it. But enough gushing; after all, we're all here because we love this franchise, aren't we? So on to the Q&A!
Q: How did you come across this site?A: Through the wiki. It's been helpful for me to learn about the franchise, and when I found out that there was a community attached to it, I decided to sign up.
Q: Do you play it?A: Almost. As I said, my copy of iM@S2 is in the mail. I've poked at the SP and DS games, and I loved the heck out of Shiny Festa, but soon I'll be a full-fledged P-san in my own right!
Q: Who is your fave idol?A: Hibiki, easily. I don't think I've heard a single song yet that her voice doesn't work well with, and she's got an energy to her that I find really appealing. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's got that gorgeous long hair, she's an animal lover, and she's just the right level of tan!
Really, though, they're all great girls. It's going to be hard to pick my first unit.
That's it for now, I guess, but I do have a question for you guys—specifically the ones who play on the PS3. I created a Japanese PSN account, but what's the best way to get money in there for DLC? I know I can import yen cards from Play-Asia, but there's got to be an easier way, yes?
