~$200 and nothing to buy!
« on: November 03, 2012, 07:06:38 am »
*Sigh*

I finally have the money to buy Shiny Festa: Funky Note. It's on back-order now, and nearly everything else iDOLM@STER has sold out on AmiAmi!

Any suggestions on some good things still on sale? Back-order, pre-order, or tentative. I just want some cool merch!

More specifically, what's a really great CD to buy? Should I wait until the next Namassuka CD? (I mean, the one after Chihaya/Yukiho.)

Help a Bro out!:

(Willing to look at other sites too, as long as they include Shiny Festa: Funky Note. AmiAmi is perferable, however.)

I am almost certain that there will be not Namassuka CD 6. All of the idols are covered in the first 5, and I think it was even said that there would be 5.

Okay... so I guess there's no way I'm getting a 765Pro windbreaker or t-shirt...

So I'll just buy Groovy Tune along with Funky Note. I have no interest in Honey Sound.

And then I guess a PSP accessory kit too, since I have most of the games now. I kind of want Honey Sound too, just to say I have all three, but...

Then I wanna buy a CD. Anyone know of some good ones? I was thinking maybe a Master Special since I like the remixes, but Hibiki got stuck with Chihaya and I haven't heard any songs I like off there... Or one of the Radio Live CDs?

Thoughts?

What would you consider a good CD?

Oh, right! I like up-beat, catchy songs. A big favorite of mine is Kami Summer, along with stuff like MEGARE! and NEXT LIFE.
I also really really really like Hibiki.
And I really don't want anything to do with Chihaya at all.

Lemme think... gonna leave out the seasonal releases since they tend to be hard to find.  Ditto for the original Master Artist series, I guess.

Hibiki's Master Artist 2 CD pairs her up with Haruka and Miki.  Her songs, even the covers, are very good.  Although her horrible anime episode kinda ruined Trial Dance for me.  As a bonus... I can only guess at the content based on the sound... seems like Miki helps Hibiki overcome her reluctance to wear a bikini.

Master Special 1 (Haruka/Yayoi) and 6 (Miki/Iori) have the most upbeat, up-tempo songs.  Downside is that the original tracks were plundered and reused on the anime series CDs.  Speaking of the anime CDs, you can probably find previews of them floating around.

The 961 (Overmaster) CD has no talk tracks, just 3 songs, but holds up very well.

I can't speak for most of the Master Artist 2 CDs- I listened to bits and pieces of most of them and liked very few of them.

Your optimum choice probably depends on whether you prefer remixes (Live 4 U), rehashes (Master Artist and anime CDs), or covers (everything else).

Or you could hold onto your cash and wait for the next big thing.

Aw, right! Master Special 6 had that Do-Dai with Miki and Iori. I loved that one! That's a good one to remember...

I liked Hibiki's Master Arist 2 CD, but I've heard most of the songs on it already. Kind of old.

I'm not interested in talk tracks at all, so that's fine. 961 CD... Never heard of it, but just three songs? I'm sure I could just find those online... Interested, at least.

I'd love to hold onto my cash, but I really want Shiny Festa.
