Summer Sun - Prevents PP reduction from Sunny Day when used by the holder. Also prevents PP reduction of Sunny Day from moves such as Spite and Grudge.
Fall Sun - Prevents PP reduction from Sandstorm when used by the holder. Also prevents PP reduction of Sandstorm from moves such as Spite and Grudge.
Winter Sun - Prevents PP reduction from Hail when used by the holder. Also prevents PP reduction of Hail from moves such as Spite and Grudge.

Herbs
Recharge Herb - Allows the user to omit the second turn of recharge-required moves. Consumed after use. It affects Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, Rock Wrecker, Roar of Time, and Flash Burst. Also allows use of any Water-type move the turn after using Ultra Tsunami and Razor Storm and Laser Blast the turn after using the same move.

Negative-Effect Items
Inhibit Ring  - The holder's ability has no effect. Trace will still copy a foe's ability and Randomizer will still become a random ability, but the ability gained won't have any effect. Does not affect Multitype.

Power Boosters
Leaf Capsule - Boosts the power of Razor Leaf, Magical Leaf, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, and Razor Storm by 30%.
Wind Gyro - Boosts the power of Gust, Razor Wind, Twister, Air Cutter, Air Slash, and Hurricane by 30%.
Laser Prism - Boosts the power of the holder's Electric-type special attacks by 30%.
Volt Engine - Boosts the power of the holder's Electric-type physical attacks by 30%.
Solar Diamond - Doubles the power of not very effective moves used by Solares.

Other
Beam Adapter – During the daytime under normal conditions, Weather Ball is a 100 base power Light-type attack when used by the holder. Makes Castform Light Castform and increases Castform's Defense and Special Defense by 25% each during the daytime under normal conditions.
Zen Relic – When held by Darmanitan with Zen Mode, makes Darmanitan its Zen Mode form regardless of HP.

Here are the items found in Pokémon Flora and Azure. Note that virtually every item from past Pokémon games are also in Flora and Azure, so only the ones introduced in this game are brought up.

Also, some special notes for specific items:

The Inhibit Ring also shuts off the abilities Truant, Slow Start, and Defeatist, making it a godsend for Slaking, Regigigas, and Archeops. Flora/Azure-wise, if you see such a Pokémon in competitive play, it'll likely be holding this item.

The items Leaf Capsule and Wind Gyro can also be given to a man in Academy City to make TM95/97, which contains Razor Storm. The Laser Prism and Volt Engine can be given to the same person to make TM101/103, which contains Laser Blast.

The basic effect of the Recharge Herb is that after using a move like Hyper Beam, you'll still be able to attack, switch out, or use an item the turn after using the move.

The Beam Adapter goes with the items Sand Adapter, Leaf Adapter, Volt Adapter, Dusk Adapter, Smog Adapter, and Wind Adapter found here. You may need to look far down into the post to find them.

The purpose of the Zen Relic is to make Zen Mode Darmanitan more playable by putting in its Zen Mode form regardless of HP. Any Darmanitan labeled "Darmanitan-Z" is holding this item.

Since valuable items in Flora/Azure have a purpose other than being sold (mainly you can now give them to certain people as gifts), there are many more of them introduced. Some can even be bought at special marts.

As to not be confused with a Grass-type Gym Leader from Kanto, Erika Sendou is called ingame Erika S..

Mizore's Vanillish is slightly underleveled. Vanillite doesn't become Vanillish until Level 34. However, wild Vanillish as low as Level 32 can be found in the Ice Cavern.

Saber's Bisharp is also underleveled the first time you fight her. Pawniard doesn't become Bisharp until Level 52.

Haruka Nogizaka has a small reason for training Dragon-type Pokémon. Hakujou Lake is home to Dratini and Dragonair and is said to have a Dragonite that acts as its guardian.
