Well I decided to make the jump. Hi!
« on: October 16, 2012, 05:52:51 am »
Well, I decided to finally join. Took me about 3 months but whatever.

Real Name: Joe
Sex: Male
Country of Origin:
Age 20
Hobbies: Writing, Drawing, Performing (Not very good at it :'( ), Playing Video Games, Golf & Football

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: Saw the forum while browsing the wiki for my next disc I wanted.

Q:Why did you join this site?
A: I think, after making this one of the first things I check when I get off work I was inspired enough to join.

Q:Do you play it?
A: Yes, imported the limited edition of Idolm@ster 2 for the PS3 (For $500 dollars, Ouch!)

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Haruka introduced me to the series so she'll always be my fav but Chihaya is a close second.

Q:Why is my username "idolfanaticV1"?
A: As I type this and look at the stuff I've aquired over 8 months I realize i went kind of overboard. Also I'm always the the first version of whatever I join. No one ever puts a V1 after their name!

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: Besides Idolm@ster, I like watching Key animations (My favorite is Air) and playing them (when I'm not playing Idolm@ster I'm playing Rewrite). Other then that, I like football.

Q: What is your motto?
A: I'll never give up!

Q:Who's your favorite singer right now?
A: Is this an Idolm@ster singer or a real one? Either way, I'm not sure.

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: I'm in the military, currently stationed in Washington state.

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Be able to talk to other imas fans with them knowing what I'm talking about and not dealing with not being able to talk to no one about it and look like a complete idiot.

Other Stuff:
I ran into Idolmaster on deployment in Singapore in a PSP game called Weib Schwarz Portable just to have something to do when we went back out to sea.
Not being able to read much Japenese, I fumbled my way into getting an Idolmaster trial deck. Eventually when I played a special climax card I was treated to a 15 sec animation of Haruka singing I Want on stage. I was pretty much hooked after that. Once I got home and found out there was an animation and games for Idolmaster I proceeded to buy everything I could get my physical hands on. Once that was gone, I imported Imas 2 and other music cds through Ebay. Enjoying something too much is painful. Whatever. At least I have a job.

Can't wait for Shiny Festa. Problem 1 is I'll have to wait for Christmas and problem 2 is am I going to just buy just Honey Sound for Haruka and Chihaya or just buy them all!

I have issues. Whatever. Long Live Idolmaster.
(I suppose I should get to work on a picture for my profile)

Well, I wish that's all I've spent. Not counting point cards for Imas 2 DLC (I have every song besides LOBM and all the special idols), the Chihaya Idolmaster 2 manga, the 7 CDs that I can't find receipts for and worst of all, shipping!, we're at around $1475. Counting above maybe 2 grand. Hopefully that's enough to be an im@s fan.

Who am I kidding, I have to have it all. My poor wallet!

Welcome! Have fun on the forums!

And the 0 on my name is also because it's "version" 0. I had another account that had issues, so I made another one with 0 after it because people usually start at version 2, and sometimes even 1, but 0 is a perfectly good digit too, so I used that. That may have been a run-on sentence, but sometimes grammatical rules allow you to make proper sentences that seem really long, so maybe it's not.

How long ago were you in Singapore? I had a friend who's from there. Also, what branch of the military are you in? I'm guessing that you're in the Navy. Anyway, welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forums! So what's being in the military like?

It's a bit difficult. I'm on a attack submarine so I get to go different places like Singapore, Hawaii, and the North Pole (that was cold). When I'm not on the boat I usually wake up early in the morning but getting out at 3 isn't that bad. Unfortunately, there's no one that I can talk to about the anime and games I import, since most of their money goes to beer and fast cars (when they save enough). I was playing Idolm@ster 2 on my projector and one of my roommates who had more than a few beers at the time touched Yuhiko's breasts on the wall. I joked about it while I thought of a made up communication event where Yuhiko had to perform for drunken American sailors. I don't think it would go well at all. That hole would be pretty deep.

Back in February for two weeks this year. It was cool seeing a different culture then just America. And yes, its the Navy.

Wow. A officer of the Navy is a IM@S fan!

And Harurun just introduced you to the forums. Good for you!

500 bucks for a imported version? How long did you save money for that? Currently I'm on budget mode so I have to save it in the near future.

In conclusion, Project-iM@s e yōkoso! (or Welcome to Project-iM@S!)

By the way, thank you for your service! *salutes*

This should be a thing.
