Mami originally had short hair and wore it exactly like Ami. That way they could trade places.

Ah, that makes sense, since I don't think you could have more than one idol in the older games at one time. What I've heard at least.

I've heard about the third Futami as well, but I'm not sure where they mentioned her. I think it was back in 2011. It could've been during one of those videos where a couple of the imas seiyuu talk about the next episode of the anime. Or maybe it was some other video (animated or not). I think she wasn't a twin (triplet), though; maybe an older sister? Do let me know if you find any information on her!

I will be sure to let you know if I find anything, though I may not go searching right now. It is an interesting find though, and it would be cool if "Nami" became another Idol, in my opinion ^.^
