That's because there's nothing to justify here. It's literally the worse-case scenario.

Anyways, this is okay with me. I'm not going to buy this simply in hopes that it will convince Namco that THE iDOLM@STER can succeed here because I already own the game, but had I not already owned a PSP copy I'd probably buy it in a heartbeat. As it is, I kind of want Harmonic Score... but I'd really just like Harmonic Score for listening to the song's off my PSP, and Rhythmic Record to actually play on the iPod touch.

Really- it's a lot more convenient to play on iOS than on the old PSP. I just can't justify that much money for a game I already own and I don't care for the rhythm portion with anyone other than the loli rangers.

Buy -> "Yay!  We can finally charge Japanese prices in America!"

Don't buy -> "Why didn't they buy?  They said they would buy it if we localized it!"  And whoever stuck their neck out for the localization gets in serious trouble.


For what it's worth, I don't have a smartphone.  I've been holding off on getting one... I prefer a desktop computer for my computing needs.  Not specifically planning to get an iPhone either.

I'm wondering who will purchase this, because I would assume everyone who is into IM@S would have already purchased the PSP versions already.  It was such an import friendly game to begin with, but I guess if you don't have a PSP, this version will probably be appealing.

As much as I like im@s, 55 dollars for a mobile game is just ridiculous in my opinion. Plus not everyone has an iOS device. But that's just my opinion at least.

To be fair, the PSP digital downloads are 5380円 each, which is right around that $55 USD mark. (The UMDs have a sticker price of 5980円, about $60 USD).

So they're not stupidly overpriced. Just stupidly overpriced for an iOS title.

They only support newer iOS devices, ones with at least an A5 chip. I wonder why.
