It needs to be said. The Band MC's were all really good. Maybe some others had some shortcomings... but at least the Band was good.

No. They're not polished at all.
The high hat goes up and down AFTER the song ended! This could have been easily avoided.

Oh, does it? I didn't even notice. Maybe I'm just easily impressed.

Uhh... MUSIC's anime video was really good, then?

Did anyone get this "secret" SSS Idol rank?
I've managed to clear the last remaining song with SSS Full Combo (Lovely-10), and also the fan number reached 500.000 with this, and I'm wondering, what exactly triggered the rank to go up.

Are there any new features or items available with SSS Idol rank?
Drummer.
Interested in Idolmaster songs covers.

Namco isn't one to file patents without means.
Get on the hype plane, iM@S might just be leaving Japan.

Fixed your link for you.
In other news, I'm not entirely sure how that would work. The Shiny Festa games are kinda geared towards the anime. And by "kinda geared towards" I mean "almost entirely based on." I mean, they have new anime scenes for the new songs, there are anime-first songs(and some anime-exclusive songs...), and the anime hasn't really been ported oversees yet. (Barring Xenoglossia, which I've yet to see for many reasons. Most of them being a lack of true interest.) Maybe that's part of the plan, too...? Would be awesome, at least...

well it's full of cute girls and rhythm games have been pretty popular, plus it's not like the anime loving group is exactly a tiny group anymore (hell they brought the madoka movies over seas and i heard those did pretty well here)
then again the psp isn't a popular system, and as you said Idolm@ster itself isnt a big franchise here
maybe a download only port? I could see that

Any English release is a good release, but Namco better be aiming for North America, too.

Wait. The game's in Japanese? I didn't even realize.  ???

All joking aside, I doubt this means much and even if it does mean anything how long it will it be and what will be the quality of the English rendition.

And why did they have to pick one of of their worst games to be the ice breaker? I still say DS would have been great. They're already talking about some juicy topics Americans love to talk about- teenage pregnancy, crossdressers, and how the internet destroys today's youth.

Oh well. This is a good thing for others who are looking to get the game.
But I wouldn't go out and buy it even if it was at the Gamestop less than a mile from my home.

They've filed patents before, but never followed through. lol

It'd be great if it does happen, but just keep expectations in check. Sure beats Victor Ireland's filthy hands touching the series. :P

Oh, have they? In my experience with Namco, I haven't seen them file a patent without following through with a product. (Beautiful Katamari, Katamari Rolling Amore, etc.)

Rhythm games are far more accessible to a general audience. It's no surprise that the most stripped-down and basic iM@S game is the first to be given a shot outside Japan. As it is, the series is very Japanese, admittedly too Japanese. If we're lucky, we could see a more standard game after this, but this is definitely the opportunity that's been needed for the series and I'm not going to be the one to spit on it.

They've filed patents before, but never followed through. lol

True, but they've had 7 years to file a trademark for iM@S and haven't until now. Why bother all of a sudden, and why trademark Shiny Festa with it? It's awfully suspicious behavior if they have no intent of localization.
