I believe there is a small amount of DLC out already. It might be preorder DLC, though i am not sure.

The game needs DLC to take more money from the players because it was cheaply and poorly made in the first place?
Pathetic.

They should just focus on making a PS3 version since the game was literally created on the PS3 and simply capture the videos to make the PSP games.

Imagine a PS3 version with all the exclusive songs from all 3 PSP versions, but allows you to customize the costumes, character positions, who gets to sing it (when applicable), and stages all rendered in real time. Using your iM@S 2 save data, you get to use all the costumes and accessories you unlock or bought. Oh, all 3 OVAs would also be included in HD.

I would totally buy it if they made it happen.

It's way to obvious for them to ignore...I think it will come out in due time.

Okay, okay, I finally got my copy of Funky Note! Not too late for my two-cents, am I?
(And really waiting for a translation on the shop here... Right now all I buy is cosmetics because that's all that makes sense...)

Pathetic.

I don't know, I wouldn't say the game was poorly made... I consider poorly made to involve some really poor oversight as far as actual gameplay and I'm enjoying it enough (ON THE 2-STAR SONGS AT LEAST...)

Cheaply? Yes, good god Scamco. Not nearly enough songs in any one title, only seperated into such small lists for the sake of money money money.

I'm waiting for that BEST version thingy I heard about... to buy Groovy Tune. Nearly nothing at all interests me in Honey Sound, but I'm really struggling to not crack and order Groovy Tune right now. How long do you think it'll be until they release these "BEST" version thingies? (Alternatively, I'm totally fine with buying some DLC if I knew how to navigate to it... :P)

Well, the first PS games to release the PlayStation the Best versions were the iM@S SP games on PSP. The games originally released on February 19th, 2009 and the Best versions released on January 28th, 2010, less than a year later.

The other release to do that was iM@S 2 on PS3. The game originally released on October 27th, 2011 and the Best version released on August 2nd, 2012, barely nine months later.

For comparison, I'll also list the Xbox 360 titles.

iM@S 1 - Original: January 25th, 2007; Platinum Hits: November 1st, 2007 (nine months)
iM@S Live For You - Original: February 28th, 2008; Platinum Hits: March 12th, 2009 (just over a year)
iM@S 2 - Original: February 24th, 2011; Platinum Hits: August 2nd, 2012

Basically, every iM@S game gets a "high seller budget release" of sorts no more than a year later (with the exception of iM@S2 on 360, which probably had its sales slowed significantly by the updated PS3 release). I'd say expect these around August to September next year.

Actually, come to think of it, I guess the DS game never did get any kind of budget release, but Nintendo doesn't usually do those in the first place, and even if they do it's only for first party games.

IMO, they should have gone to NND said, "Hey m@d creators make us videos and you get to be in the game" instead of making some of the MVs like they did. They were cheap. I've seen better work in MMD sadly.
I hate to be such a downer on this game, but if they gave it more time and more work maybe it would have been a wonderful addition to the line and certainly a supplement to L4U since it's so difficult in comparison.

It felt kind of half-and-half.

Music is a Friend had a pretty terrible MV, really, but... while I don't know about the other games, Brand New Day on Funky Note had a gorgeous Band MV. But maybe I've just never experienced another game personally before, so I might be a bit biased.

You think Visionary had a bad anime video or a bad theatre video (or both)?

Right! The name was changed to Visionary! Thanks for the links.

I meant the theatre. The anime clip was good enough, but it was the theatre that stands out as especially bad to me.

I agree, I definitely found some of the theatre videos were very disappointing. Having M@D creators contribute to the game would have been a lot more aesthetically pleasing and entertaining, especially considering some of the videos in the actual game come off as lazy to me. *in Timmy's dad from Fairly Odd Parents' voice* Scamco...

I don't really get the complaints about not being able to customize. But then again I've been playing music games since the late '90s, starting from Parappa the Rapper. There's a lot of music games where you're stuck being able to see only one background and it never looks different, with no customization.

I've got all 3 games, and I find them all fun. I'm kinda glad I picked up all 3 though. I originally debated on only getting Honey Sound, because I do like Chihaya and Azusa a lot. But that's actually my least favorite of the 3 games, just because the song selection on it isn't quite as good.

The thing that bothers me the most is the number of repeat songs that are across each game and the fact that the high scores of those repeat songs don't carry over between games. So, essentially, if you're trying to get all of those achievement-like goals, you have to play those particular songs over and over. It's quite annoying. But I don't regret getting all 3. There's songs I like on all of them that are exclusive to the particular game it's on.

I'd have loved to see actual new dances for a lot of the songs instead of like... just swaying like in Kazahana or powerwalking like in Jitensha.

Also I hope that the inclusion of Watashi wa Idol and Massugu mean they'll be future DLC because they're two of my favorite idolmaster songs of all time!

On the topic of DLC, I'd really like to see Hibiki get Tip Taps Tip and TRIAL DANCE.

Why TRIAL DANCE isn't her personal song yet, I have no idea...

Looks like we only get one more week of Shiny Festa in the rankings.

Barely made it at #50. It'll certainly be out by next week.

I didn't mind Jitensha, personally. It was like a music video with Makoto on a bike and running around and all of that. And Kazahana... well, realistically, it's very hard to dance and sing well. I don't expect to see someone moving much during a ballad.

The only song that kind of bothers me on the cheaping out front is Next Life. She literally is just walking down stair sort of things the entire song. It's the most boring MC to watch by far in all 3 games.

Still kinda surprised. It's been over a month since the game has come out and there's no DLC minus the first print The World is All One.
