They updated the blog entry with a little more info on the game:
It isn't an idol raising sim. The groups in each game are fixed, and you attend festivals to play a rhythm game something along the lines of tapping buttons to match the icons on screen. So basically, it's something similar to L4U.

Although the idols trouble me. Obviously I want Haruka and I also like Azusa, but I don't know if I really want Chihaya and Ritsuko as much.
