Get some practice with simpler kits first. The Idolmaster planes aren't that difficult to build if you have some experience under your belt.

Would want the Haruka one...but have no time for these.

I also have little time for my own stuff after work, but I spent at least an hour each day on it and progressed little by little, that's why it took 5 months to build. In scale modelling, nobody is imposing a time limit on you because you're building for yourself and not others. Besides, the end result will always be more impressive if you take your time.

Got it. Gonna go search for some later.

Damn! This is making me want to try my hands at models again.
However, my hands are quite shaky (a friend of mine said I might be lacking magnesium or something like that - don't really remember) so I never managed to make anything half decent... :/

My model appeared in an article on a modelling forum:

Crisu:
Nice work! Wow, 5 months; that's real dedication. But it looks really good. I'd be too lazy and just buy a whole plane rather than a kit, but I bet building it all by yourself gives you a greater sense of pride when you look at it.
Next up is modding a speaker inside of it, so it will play Chihaya songs. ;)
