It doesn't mean anything for the 2011 anime making its way overseas.  Xenoglossia wasn't covered in a ton of licensed music and stuff.

CRAP.  I heard that Idolmaster had gotten licensed... I did not think it was Xenoglossia.  Aughh.

I'm not sure if this goes here, but it's a topic I'm not very much interested in so I'd like to see someone else research it a bit more.

Apparently, Xenoglossia is getting an NA release! Thoughts, opinions, and does anyone care more than I to confirm this? What does this mean for the possibility of the real anime making it overseas?

Yeah, I suppose you're right... But it's still something, I guess? I was disappointed to see the word "Xenoglossia" after the page as well. :|

For an iDOLM@STERS anime? Yes, it was.
As an anime all it's own? I couldn't tell you because I refuse to watch it.

I also don't think Xenoglossia was that bad, although it definitely wasn't what I was looking for in an Idolmaster anime (Not like that OVA was better though). It would've been better as a standalone, separated from Idolmaster, but being connected made it worse. Like Haruka saying her favourite colour was pink, the voice actors being different, and most characters having odd redesigns and character traits. They killed Takane's home too.

My favourite thing about it is that it spawned 'inferno', or at least I'm assuming that's why Yukiho and Chihaya got a duet in a song that seems like it should be in Xenoglossia.

...

In other news, Puchimasu could have a chance.

I... cannot at all see Puchimasu coming before the real anime. I mean, I can't see Puchimasu making it at all, but certainly not at all without a huge success of iM@S overseas first.

Namco likely have the rights to the composer's material. Almost all tracks (especially original songs) were developed by or under NBGI.

For example:

Composer:

- Wrote

I Want, Agent Yoru wo Iku
Vault That Borderline!
Mythmaker
Daybreak Starline

- Composed

I Want
Agent Yoru wo Iku
Honey Heartbeat
Vault That Borderline!

Worked for: NBGI.

It's not like they're using material from other companies.

It's just the original show with English subtitles. I would be surprised if it does even decently well. If a series is planned to go big in NA, they'd probably go through the trouble of dubbing.

It was listed on the front page under Hot Pre-Orders at Right Stuf, if that means anything.
