Amami Haruka Cosplay- "No one is truly free"

Best option is probably a plush version of "board Chihaya" - the one that subbed for the real Chihaya on Namasuka Sunday.  Fewer parts, and such.

I've really only been sewing for a year.

This is my first actual costume that I've made without a premade pattern.

If I had to pick an emoticon from what the board offers:

Whoa, that puts the entirety of this in a new perspective.  One of even more awesomeness than previously.  Add a prefix to it, either "mega" or "uber" or anything else fantastic will do just nicely.

As for the lenses deal?  I don't blame you, contacts are fiddly and uncomfortable.  I hope you get the urge to cosplay more of Haruka in the future, as you've definitely got some skill with a needle and thread.

Actually speaking of Chihaya, this guy in my state crossdressed as her!! If I can meetup with him we can probably do a shoot together.

Okay a little update before I go to bed.
Separating it into another post for clarity.

I'd like to say that I'm 70% done now with only the boots and socks remaining!

Pinning the cuffs. Bought these blingy buttons because they seem more idol-ish.


Meanwhile, while the cuffs dry from their ironing, making the skirt chain.


And after that lining the top with the black part like Haruka's.

Adding decorations to belt and modeling cuffs and chain


Wearing the choker. Ribbons were blurry but they're done.


The costume as it's been hanging on the door. I look at it every single day. ^^

I was thinking of cosplaying as Producer at the next Anime Expo, but I can't do the Anim@s look (hair's WAY TOO SHORT, and I don't think I can grow it in time), so time to start plan B: Get one of those and tape a yellow "P" on it. Can't really make a huge "P" to wear, and a paper mask is too fragile. Plus I can either take it off or just push it up, depending on which type I get.

Well, I'm going to find an adjustable one so that I can just simply push up the shield and I can see. I don't mind taking it off and on, though. And there's always scouting out with your feet first before moving.
