Another short update. Contact lenses!!
A subtle green color since normally green lenses creep me out a bit. So I'm even more Haruka now. ^_^

I will start working on Wired Marionette tomorrow morning!! ><
My tentative schedule is getting the petticoat, dress, sleeves, and back ribbon done tomorrow.
Then corset, gloves, and bib on Tuesday.
And finally boots , kneepads , and other belted accessories on Wednesday.

Massive update.
Started this morning by working on the petticoat. Here I am attaching the frills to the bottom.
Then sewing it to the skirt.
The ruffles turned out fabulously!
More pinning for the waist band. It was nearly two yards long, so it took forever.
Test fitting before lunch.
Result!! Petticoat/Inner skirt is now finished.
Then I started working on the dress. I made it in two parts. A "blouse" and then a "skirt". The seam will be hidden by the wired corset so I figured this was an okay approach.
Haruka helped me iron it a bit.
First time doing a scalloped hem so I used this tutorial http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/tutorial-scalloped-hem
Completed scallops
For the black inner scallops, I created all these tiny ones one by one.
They were then hand sewn inside. The inner hem was also reinforced.
So finally,
Here's a little teaser of what the final product should look like.
Will be doing more work later, but that's all for now. ^_^

Dress was finished today
Back preview with a stand in corset
Breast plate was made using glue, sewing, a metallic fabric, and interfacing.
So I had a problem with the front belt because I wanted it to have a buckle, but I already bought this fabric:

Then I found this belt with a nice buckle, but it was ugly. So I was thinking about just cutting it off.

Decided to just use it flipped over since it still functions.
