Here's a miniature update on the Wired Marionette project.
Here's the fabric I have bought!

Curious thing about this fabric is that, I cannot photograph it at all. (As a side note, I'm pretty familiar with my camera's settings and work with it on a frequent basis so that is not the problem.)
The
purple fabric, which I promise is actually dark purple in real life is a nice poplin. It drapes delightfully and is lightweight. The fact that it photographs in the more bluish color will help end the debate over the actual color of this outfit.
The metallic fabric is some kind I'm not sure of, but both of the fabrics shown are hanging off the edge of my bed as drape reference. As you can see it is very thick and very stiff. It does not drape at all and has a very very metallic like sheen. After some ironing I think it will be easy to get the metal boot illusion using the same boots I used for my previous Haruka cosplay.
There are still some fabric and notions I am missing though.
For the dress, I am using a concealed (lapped) zipper that will make it so the dress can completely come apart (fold flat out in net form). A similar style for what I call the "Wired Corset" which I'm making separate from the dress for sake of traveling and transporting.
This costume also features quite a few belt thingies, which I need to locate. These belts are extremely convenient for finishing the edges since they won't need to be hemmed or lined and I can use the belt as a finisher.
Tl;dr I'll be starting the actual sewing soon.
