This is kind of an odd question, but seeing as how people are taking pictures of their stuff... do you have a preferred way of stacking your manga/artbooks/CDs/DVDs? I have a lot of junk, and I want to organize it without crushing or warping anything. Limited edition boxes are the most troublesome because they have a lot of empty space and thus can't support much weight.
Myself, I just have bookshelves deep enough for two layers of books/games. On top of each full depth shelf, I stuck a half depth shelf on top to act as a stopper/back for the outer layer, and to provide something for the inner layer to sit on. It takes double the shelves, but it's good for me. Of course, some shelves are taken up by things that need all the space in the bookshelf. No double shelves there. ^^
Books, manga, video games I line up horizontally. CDs I'm just piling vertically right now - they don't take a full shelf's vertical height, so it saves on space that way. Maybe if I got an actual CD tower, it'd help. ^^
EDIT: Okay, I'll explain how I arranged my stuff, and jump on the bandwagon of pictures of my room. I don't usually do things like this, but eh. Using my phone camera since I'm waaaaay too cheap for anything else. Maybe it'll help you figure out how to arrange your room.
Pretty much, I wanted everything within reach when I sat down at my computer, so it made sense to put my bookcases in the corner with my desk right there too. I got three bookshelves: A wide horizontal one, a regular width horizontal one, and a tall one. The two horizontal ones take up the ground, the tall one is placed on top of the wide horizontal bookcase. My console systems are actually to the right of my monitor, off screen. In front of the window, you can see my laziness. The window's supposed to be clear if all that stuff wasn't there, but I got lazy about rearranging stuff.

A pic of the bottom section. The bottom shelf I gave more height, since as I'd be looking down at it, it needed more height so I could see what was there from my chair. If it were an even split, the top portion of some of the manga/video games would be obscured from where I sat. There's actually two layers of manga below (my double shelving), but you can't see it from the pic. The easiest thing to reach that's organized here - Brave Story, and Idolmaster manga. ^^

The first two shelves of the tall bookcase. The bottom shelf here acts as my easy access shelf - it's about the level of my hands as I type, rest them on my chair, or reach out while sitting. Since it's designed for easy access, I'm not doing the double shelf thing here (and for other reasons, the tall bookcase doesn't do it in general). It's not supposed to have all that stuff in it, really, but again, I'm lazy about rearranging stuff.
On the shelf above, at eye level, are my figures. They're the perfect height where I can just turn my head while I sit in my chair and admire/gloat over them.

My display shelf is on top of my figure shelf. It's the perfect height that I can just sit back and admire it by looking up. Not much is obscured. What you can't see are the CDs I have - they're behind the shikishi and poster card. What you can - Chiaki Takahashi's autograph. ^^

Finally, my artbooks and other big stuff I can't fit anywhere else are on the top shelf. I have to stand up to get to these, but that's okay since I don't take them out too often. Also for display on this shelf: the Sakura Taisen Teito Live 2010 cap I got.
