Hmm, i'm sure it's an interesting app, but unfortunately i'm a 'Berry user so no downloads.
I'll probably fill my twitter with Yayoi vids, that's all. Unless Scamco will release a Yayoi-centric Win7 enhancement...

If playlists are what you're offering than no thanks lol. It would be easier and about the same to just rip a ton of youtube videos and stream that like a show. The goal of the type of broadcast I was suggesting though, was the interaction from the audience, such as picking the songs and accessories that get suggested in chat. Rather than a whole orchestrated production, it would have everyone's involvement and make people want to watch.
But that's just one idea, I mean someone could also do a "Let's play" and do a Yayoi play-through live all day. Or whatever anyone wants to volunteer to do or something.

True, but I can build the playlist naturally, without much issue.
Doing it live in S4U would have a delay time in it, although if you think live is best, then we can manage it, it's mostly publicity in that case (and the fact broadcasts have a delay ON them themselves, meaning having a few on hand helps.)
If nothing else, it makes it easier to mix in 'dead time' (when no one's actively requesting) and switching between the two versions.
Otherwise you'll have to have someone stationed there all day.
Edit:
Also, there's a HUGE logistical problem with your proposal if you intend to do live requests that are all done in realtime (I do logistics, so thinking things end to end matters, because well, for live events you only ever get one try):
If you're me (and most likely only me) a translation of a coded request is a simple 'count the numbers' system. I can in fact read an entire codeset and other than me failing to count correctly (or other human stupidity at my end) probably can decipher a compendium request (regardless of system) in about 3 seconds of read time (And in my case, immediately determine if the code's valid, but as designer I better be sure I could tell) and as fast as the controller will let me land at the right number. Sometimes I can get it down (assuming a full loadout of all possible items filled) in less than 15 seconds from reciept, and I've actually been timed for this.
On most people's requesting side, the process is more accurate, but since the numbers actually don't line up (Idolm@ster 2 DOES NOT leave blank DLC slots like L4U did) they actually have to recreate the request online first to determine exactly what's being asked, if a DLC item gets requested. This is simply due to the fact I don't expect many people to purchase EVERY DLC item on a console (let alone TWO) just for data collection purposes.
This applies to any number 13+ for the Starry, Luxury or Floral, 11+ for Extend for Costumes, and 25+ for all accessories, on the Xbox 360 version. (There's also ANOTHER major difference I'll get to in the logistics breakdown later which I've ommitted. I'm sure you'll figure this out shortly.)
This applies to any number 16+ for Starry, Luxury or Floral, 17+ for Extend, and 30+ for all accessories on the PS3 version. (With a variation on the the X360 weakness.)
The compendium has an accuracy weighting towards the whole speed/accuracy thing, but considering if you hit 100% of your request, you won't have to worry about messing it up, just doing it a little slower.
I'd expect a translation of about 30-45 seconds (which is actually fairly good) from the moment the text shows up and the S4U is ready to set up. (Since a request can be made at any time, and is not dependent on seeing the S4U screen ever, considering the online compendium effectively emulates it!)
Okay, that's it when you're going for accurate (which was the entire point of the Compendium)
So what happens when you actually want to go fast? Or (for various reasons) a general request is made? You know, "Could you throw up Yayoi, Haruka and Azusa together in Shiny Smile wearing that white dress wearing earrings, a anklet on the upper left leg, and some pink gloves?"
(That's out of my youtube inbox by the way. Are you surprised?)
Well, unless you want to hold up the rest of the stream, you're going to have to guess (and a hell of a lot) and you're going to upset the requester who think they know what they're talking about, but the reciever doesn't have a crystal ball.
Do it enough times, and you'll just have upset people who'll go elsewhere, like a youtube video, sort of defeating the point, or you won't get any creativity at all, as people keep it really simple. Isn't the point to get all Yayoi, all the time for the day, complete with all sorts of setups?
Then you have a different problem. This one's a lot more fun. Watch as (yes, this happens a fair bit) a request for Ready!! with Yayoi, Takane, Chihaya Mami and Ami, using FLO-25, wearing Hd-45s on Stage Q-5. (Once again, out of my inbox)
If you guessed the answer was 'That code simply cannot exist' you have guessed correctly.
That's a hybird PS3+X360 asking for a setup which cannot be achieved - (PS3 will fail the Floral number (Windy Cherries) as there's actually no 25th item for the PS3 in Floral, Luxury and Starry catergories yet, and the Head piece (Witch's hat) and the X360 will fail stage (Q-5 is Snowman's Land, but the PS3 designation, as there are only 4 Quintet stages available, and although you can do everything else with a number fudge on the Stage (Q-2), you can't do READY!! on the Xbox360.)
The more fun is when they start asking for Kyun!! Vampire Girl on the PS3 edition. That's pretty common, and it's the reason why there's TWO versions of the Compendium and they're not cross compatable.
The other main reason why I would suggest a proper build is simply because of the fact that, yes, a L4U compendium exists (Surprised?) and you can mix in BOTH a L4U and a im@s2 feed, and well, it would be interesting to run, a mix of the new and old.
(Too bad I haven't enough time to work on one of my other projects, or I'd even offer to mix in PSP, but alas, I haven't a 100% clear file for any of the games, even though they're all on my shelf. Anyone want to help me with the PSP version, by any chance?)
It would have been REALLY fun to mix in the 3/DS and Vita as well, except well, a) Dearly Stars doesn't have Yayoi in any great measure, and b) all the projects are still underway and I am awaiting a number of prototypes and I don't expect either item to arrive in time for this event.
... Feel free to make sense of the last line however you wish.
