I think its more about gathering/creating more interest in the game for people who may not have played it before as well as giving the fans something back for all there hard earned moneys they spent on the DLC lol.

I kind of wished they would put L.O.B.M on really I think that song would have been awesome as a L4U finale.  I must say Im not to keen on the DS songs that I have heard but I'll give 'em time they'll probably grow on me...

It would be cool if they did do a L4U sequel as part of second vision though its would make them bigger millionaires lol

it is announced that catalog 17, 8/26 will be the last of L4U DLC
as their grand finale they are going to release MA songs remixed + some of the sp costumes, as well as having all the prices of DLC in L4U cut by half.
also a very tempting quote after the announcement.

They're probably just going to take a little break IMO and then start releasing more catalogs
