Rule of Funny I suppose. I'm still confused as to what's going on.

Usually it's Chihaya playing 'tsukkomi' to near everyone else's (mainly Miki) 'boke' tendencies. Producer also plays that role usually, but since he got hit by the Idolmaker ray he hasn't played that role much since he's hiding from Ritsuko (in plain sight).
Also, there are some expansions to 765. Among them, I think only Shiki Tohno (lol) is fictional.
