I can send it to you scanlated via Skype if you want.

So a manga chapter does a better job at this than a 2-hour movie?
That's just sad.

That will be awesome.

Hmm.. I'm surprised no one liked the movie, so I'm going to put in my two-cents here.

I am able to understand and know why Haruka is the main character and not really care or question that too much. I had an issue with the anime series reducing most of 765 to caricatures of themselves (Takane eating ramen and saying 'that's a secret'... Hibiki with her animals that come and rescue her um srsly... Iori's influential connections.. Makoto wanting to be girly ect.) This I can understand and accept to a degree. However, I felt a bit cheated because it seemed like an anime series would expand on all the characters and their personalities. And now people watching the anime who are unfamiliar with the games will see the cast as just a bunch of running gags.

That being said, I liked the movie. I felt like it had some organic drama and despite it centering around Haruka and Kana, it didn't feel like it was lazy or predictable in the same way that the show was. (I do agree that they could have introduced less ML characters but of course they have to beat that into the dirt.)

Also I liked the new song Masterpiece. The thing I really disliked about the show that was sort of rectified by the movie was this song. In the anime series all the new songs were just so goofy and bad to me (Change and Ready and whatever else.) I had no idea why they didn't use in-game songs but that's their prerogative I guess although I'm sure they just wanted an excuse to sell another maxi-single.

Anyway I guess I'm saying that I didn't really care that Haruka got screen time, because she's the main character and that's her deal. She exists to sort of push everyone to the goal of becoming idols - she's cheerful and optimistic. It'd be unnatural if any of the other cast members took on this role, because that's been her shoe to fill since the dawn of time. At this point I'm unclear as to why anyone bothers complaining about it. Anyway, tldr I liked the movie and I thought it had some cool drama and was at least 500 times better than the anime series.
