But at least we had plenty of YukihoxMakoto interactions during the show so I guess that's fine.

They could stand for a bit more yuri in the show *shot*

I agree. ^^; I was hoping they'd have Yukiho/Takane or Chihaya/Azusa. But we got YukiMako (can't think of a better portmanteau) & HaruChiha instead and I didn't even need yuri goggles for that. Personally I'm glad they didn't have ship tease with Producer and the girls. >>; /biased towards yuri pairings and doesn't like P x idol pairings, sorry :c

I'm personally curious as to how the anime was "innaccurate" in writing the characters. I don't see TOO much difference.

So am I!

yeah, probably better to move this discussion to this thread

On topic: At least Yukiho is exaggerated and way over the top with her "i'll go and dig a hole" as well as her fear of men and dogs.

But this exaggeration was made for fun, I didn't take it seriously while watching.

What I don't understand is why many people think Chihaya from the anime differs from Chihaya from the games. I've produced her in SP several times and didn't see any difference.

I feel like Chihaya's personality has definitely loosened up a bit since the Xbox 360/SP games though. In 2 and OFA I feel like she seems much more happy.

Also, as a Yukiho fan I didn't like how she got so much hate over the anime. I will admit they did kind of overexaggerate her fears of dogs and men in her own episode but still, all the hate she got among anime only fans over that kind of pissed me off.

Let's face it: Yukiho was presented as a raving psychopath in the TV series, and it's a shame.

The movie would be perfect if it was Chihaya and Shiho-centric. In addition, there is a real paring propaganda in the movie: Yukiho is ALWAYS with Makoto, Chihaya is ALWAYS with Haruka! >:( Not to mention the fact that Chihaya wore A TIE! :(

While I do enjoy your taste for more Shiho (2nd bae right there.), I think the movie would have been better if the drama featuring Fat Kana's depression and Haruka's leadership problems was either cut short SIGNIFICANTLY or just outright removed because it just dragged for WAY too long. It's fine to have conflict, because two hours without conflict would make for an extremely boring movie, but the drama overwhelmed the movie so much, it actually turned a decent movie into a mediocre movie for me.

Haruka and Chihaya or Makoto and Yukiho always being together isn't really shocking given how close they are in canon. Also, Tie Chihaya is best Chihaya, so I dunno what you're talking about. XP!

Please DON'T give me that sexist and selfish comment. Anyways, I agree with MetalPredat0r on the movie. Kana was super annoying and the overall drama dragged to the point that I dislike the the movie altogether. It was even worse than the fanservice parts. The M@STERPIECE live, however, was pretty cool though. Oh yeah, the MILLION LIVE backup dancers aren't really needed too.

...Am I the only one who started liking Kana a lot because of the movie? She went from mid tier to one of my favorite girls. The movie actually made me like Shiho (who was previously my fave ML) less, after the way she treated Haruka and Kana. Especially Haruka, who wasn't really doing anything wrong other than being wishy-washy?

I do agree though, the drama could have been less Kana-centric and less "we can't learn this dance ;_;"-centric in general. I wish they had thrown in more varied conflict, you know? It felt a bit like a 30 minute anime episode stretched into a movie, sans the entire concert scene...

Speaking of the concert scene, that was some BAD cgi they used. Like enough to be distracting.

Also no offense but I don't think "xyz wore this" is a valid criticism of a movie...

I hate saying this, but I do agree with this point most of all. The initial announcement was nice and the idea of having them in is a risky, but (in my opinion) ambitious move. Sadly, none of them got the potential to show off who they are. If it weren't for the translations by chaos176, I still would have no idea who they were besides a few. It also doesn't help that only about 2-3 out of 7 of them did remotely ANYTHING. It's rather sad that the short 30-something page manga tie-in chapter did a better job with them than a two-hour movie.

More power to you. I liked how Kana is portrayed as looking up to 765Pro the most out of all of them. It makes sense for her character. Sadly, her being the main source of drama was what put her down. I love Kana, but the movie didn't do her much justice. Shiho is still my fave, but her portrayal in the movie was rather...... bad. She's not supposed to be a bitch like that!

Don't forget the rotoscoping in the snack scene! Can't forget that unnecessary CGI! XP!

The entire time I was watching the snack scene I was trying to figure out why it looked so weird. That's why, I guess?

I liked how Shiho and Kana made up a little but other than that... Honestly, they could have whittled down the ML cast to like 4 girls, especially since only a few of them even spoke (I can't even remember Anna talking at all).

Since that you guys mention the CGI as well, I will say that I'm not a fan of them, especially using them poorly. It's the main reason why I don't like Love Live and Pretty Rhythm, too.
