But really, you guys pretty much summed up most of my thoughts.
I also didn't like how they basically made Hibiki nothing more than "the crazy animal lady" and I found Yukiho's fear of men annoyingly overexaggerated.

EDIT: Wait I just remembered they DID show relations as an insert song, nvm...

I was just kidding, but yeah, that was weird.  I was so horrified when someone compared that scene to Perfect Blue.  I don't want to see an Amamimaniac.    :-[
LOL. My brother and I totally saw it like Perfect Blue and Evangelion.

Which brings me to the point of the whole anime being a huge acid trip. I mean there were parts where I was so confused what was going on.  :o

Well, no one was trying to murder Haruka - .. right?  Apart from that time where she almost murdered herself by stepping backwards and nearly falling into the trapdoor on stage.

relations was a short insert, but it's on the albums only as a BGM :(
A little Kinda Very annoyed at no Kosmos, Cosmos (cause I wanted to use it)
It was odd with no Project Fairy - especially since you see Miki, Hibiki and Takane in the Change!!!! OP.  Idk, time constraints?  I feel like they could've used another episode of Hibiki and Takane at least (btw, Yukiho, Yayoi need a bit more love than that) at the expense of having Miki in another episode (seriously - couldn't Miki have taken some passive roles?  Maybe like Chihaya in the lead up to Ep 20, where you see Chihaya once, she looks at her phone, then disappears for the rest of the episode.  Couldn't Miki have not taken up the entire spotlight?)
Must learn Japanese one of these days ... T_T

In regards to Project Fairy - they gave us shots like this in episode 13, so it really got my hopes up.

Would've loved to see Producer use Project Fairy as a "secret weapon" against 961 Pro or something.

However, if Project Fairy were created in the anime, that means Miki would've gotten more attention, which would have been a) completely unnecessary & b) totally unfair to the other idols. I absolutely hated the way the anime portrayed her as a bitchy attention whore at times. She was still pretty cute, but Miki-Miki is way better in the games. ;_;

Um, she didn't come off as a bitchy attention whore to me. And she's not even a favorite character of mine. She did get a lot of spotlight, but as a person that's not her fault. When it gets down to it, the way she acted in the anime didn't bother me that much (except in her ep where she went AWOL).

Besides, how different is she actually from the games?

I love Miki. So I second this question.

She doesn't show up to take a lot of the screen time. The way Miki is injected into the anime resulted in her getting disliked. Not to mention many things like Haruka being the actual main protagonist, etc. Rihsa already hit the nail on the head, but add to that heavy fan expectation and desire for equality.

Marx said it better than I could. My choice of wording was very poor -- what I meant to say was the way they made it seem like she constantly hogged the spotlight and drew attention to herself annoyed me. Like nublet said, it would've been nice if she had been more passive in the anime. It was wrong to call her a "bitchy attention whore", since she is actually a very sweet girl, but anime!Miki seemed...I dunno...hypocritical? (I'm referring to her "Stop being selfish, Haruka" line. It kind of rubbed me the wrong way, especially after the way she acted in her own episode.)

I also should've said that the fact the anime made some people dislike her didn't sit well with me. I didn't mean anything bad against Miki, I love her to death. But it sometimes felt like I was having Miki shoved in my face. Again, I probably should've thought before I chose my words.  >////<

Bit I hated about that part in particular?  The episode before (Ep 23), when Haruka's like, "let's work together Miki!", Miki's all like, "No, I will win the role for myself so Honey will notice me!"
Who's selfish?  Ain't that rich what Miki says in Ep 24?  "Stop being selfish, Haruka"?  Pot calling the Kettle black?
I swear, and did anyone else have the same feeling, that in Ep 25, when Haruka goes for water, and Miki follows, did anyone think there was going to be a catfight?  I swear I thought they would, but the animators realized - it's the end of the anime, no need for extra conflict.

But anyways - I liked Miki in Ep 8 and 13, when she's serious.  I don't mind her stealing the spotlight when she does it professionally.  "I need to get you time?  Alright."  "I've got two dance songs to do?  Alright, let me try."
NOT when she does things in like Ep 24 "Hey Haruka, it's your episode, and I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but I'm just going to pop in right here, hijack your moment for a bit and call you selfish."  *Not Miki's actual words :P

I never really liked Miki much in the first place and after seeing her in the anime I just don't like her at all 8I
But, i already complained about Character focus in an episode thread.

I don't really mind Miki that much, although she takes the spotlight a bit too much... It makes me wonder how Chihaya manages to put up with it.

Also, Miki over-indulging on the producer is understandable. She is also like that in both games (except the PSP games), but don't want to give too much spoilers out, so...

There's still the extra episode for an opportunity for a catfight.  Well, maybe not.   ;D

Also, in the short, poorly-animated OVA that came out with Live For You, everything that happened was basically Miki's fault.  *rofl*

Read somewhere on the wiki that Miki looks to Chihaya as a sister - that still part of it?
Also - awakened Miki happened from Producer saving her from a car (if wiki's correct) - in this anime - we got a ridiculously clingy Miki (just sparkling was enough?  Producer - go buy her a disco ball or something, geez.), even though Producer saved Haruka from a really nasty fall.  (And we didn't really get an awakened Haruka, we got a supremely depressed Haruka instead :/)

Haha - I completely forgot about the OVA - and the Producer only told Miki what was going on?  Well ... I hope he learned the lesson to trust someone sensible - like Chihaya or Haruka :P
Maybe that could be factor in the "catfight" ep - "Miki, you got us all late!  Then I fell on my face :("

You know...in the games (since you never see 'me'), I could possibly be the most handsome producer ever...

but now giving him a face, I do wonder what Miki sees in him. He's a bit awkward, not terribly good looking (using Jupiter as a basis for good looking in this animation style), and I don't know if he even has money.

I would be more supportive of HarukaxProducer if I wasn't already excited about HarukaxChihaya because Haruka is a 'plain girl' and the producer is a pretty 'plain guy'.

I myself can't really see why Miki likes the producer so much. But when you think about it in im@s 1 and 2 she was the same way toward the producer and even called him Honey in both the games. But in the anime I felt she was too annoyingly clingy towards the producer. It's like she literally would get all butthurt if she saw someone else going out with the producer.

Me personally I kind of wished they would have given him more interaction with Yukiho since I am pretty biased toward the ProducerxYukiho pairing. Like in the games where Yukiho falls in love with the producer in the end. But at least we had plenty of YukihoxMakoto interactions during the show so I guess that's fine.
