I have a question (sorry if this offensive) what a quality make mio unique and stand out?

I belief she going get SR and CD but compare with other two starter she didn't stand so much, lets review the other two starter:

Rin Shibuya the way i describe her is a character who perfectly fit represent cool category (her appearance, personality and image)

Uzuki Shimamura, sure she look generic cute for someone but if you look deeper she cute yet mysterious. if you look other character SR ( especially before special training) who get CD, their associate with their personal life (like Rin with her pet dog hankao with her parent flower shop as background, Anzu lazying around, miku hatred to fish, kirari with cute thing) but uzuki? they not show it on her SR card, imas could show her before special training with phone related thing. this made uzuki personal life is real mystery.
(my theory is uzuki hobby is just made up she my be stated her hobby long phone talk with friend may be come from fact she adore haruka so much and want become like her.)

If i look mio, appearance wise she look generic particularly not stand out, dialogue wise her dialogue quite similar uzuki and easliy overshadowed.

If i look the New Generation title this obvious:

Uzuki Shimamura=Haruka Amami

Rin Shibuya=Chihaya Kisaragi

Mio Honda=Miki Hoshii

I belive Rin and Uzuki can surpass their predecessor, but i not really sure with Mio can surpass Miki, because whatever i see Miki more stand out than Mio.

I does support Mio but because i pity her .

So here the question:
What a quality make Mio unique and stand out?

First, I do agree that there doesn't SEEM to be much to Mio, but only a few Cinderella Girls were actually given details and relationships with other CGs. (Like how Rin, Nao, and Karen are friends.)

Second, I wouldn't give Mio's "predecessor" as Miki, it doesn't seem quite right.

Third, Uzuki is a Taurus and they're classified as introverts, so that may explain it. Don't hold me to it, though.

Also, I like your assessment of the New Generation.

I compare Mio with Miki because Mio design similar with awakened Miki and both them in passion category.
Also after you says Taurus is introverts make me started wondering if Uzuki maybe secretly shy person.

On the Rin/Uzuki/Mio thing, I don't really think Mio's much of a standout either. Rin got pretty popular on her image, and getting to be the commercial voice probably helped her along, but she was always the star when it came to the beginner cards.

Uzuki was mostly ignored at first, but once all the other weakling 2 Cost idols started getting better cards, she became kind of an underdog that made people root for her. Lots of hopeful fanart, pity party comics about her never giving up despite being overlooked, etc. (Incidentally, Mio is currently the only 2 cost idol left since Uzuki abandoned the 2 Cost Alliance)

Uzuki lucked out, but I don't think lightning is gonna strike twice for Mio. Her popularity hasn't really picked up that much. Just remains to be seen if she'll get a CD/SR just out of obligation or if they'll pick a different representative for Passion.

The reason why people rooting to uzuki maybe from her in-game dialogue and just like you say make the pity party portraying her being a person who never give up.

About Mio if they going chose different representative i going whole heartily support her because she chosen from her popularity which mean she loved by fans.

I'm not gonna lie, but compared to most characters, Mio does possess a bit of blandness in her (but if it's any consolation, her text has more 'character' than Uzuki's. lol). It doesn't help that her hobby is shopping, since most people can't stand shopping.



Anyway, her most valuable asset right now is her genki-ness, a trait you should find in nearly every Passion idol ever. I say this but her genki isn't extraordinary in any way, unlike "Kirarin" or the comedians'. I could blame the writers here, but at the same time, it's not bad- just that the audience (aka majority of us) didn't find it as appealing.

So yeah, I'd give it time, and hopefully fan writers would take this matter to their own hands. Much of the appeal she needs to muster will have to depend on fans' actions right now, since I can call Namco might not do anything. Yet.

No, I still have faith in Mio "lucking out". We gotta keep in mind that Uzuki's route was slow but sure, and there are many factors that contributed to people pitying and cheering for her, not just being left out at the 2-cost alliance.

As likely as it is that Mio is gonna get a CD, now I having a feeling she may not get it. Mio was in the same boat Uzuki was in, but Uzuki somehow generated more attention. She also hasn't got much pity fan art either, which worries me.

Also, regarding the poll, this may be a very key factor in the next CD selection. Or it may BE the next CD selection. Namdai may be just too lazy to do it themselves lol. And I may be wrong, but according to the time between the releases, in 4 months (like December) is when the next wave will likely be released.

Speaking of the poll, have the new results been released yet?

I think Uzuki is popular because of her cute design and the same reason Nami Hito from SZS is popular... They're so "normal" that you like them and feel a little bad for them, and there's not much to hate about either character. I think also since Uzuki didn't get an SR for a while, she got a lot of well-meaning jokes and pity, which Mio hasn't had. Mio's bland [sorry Mio fans D:], but not as average as Uzuki, so there's not the same "haha she's so normal" factor going on, idk?

tl;dr I don't think Mio's popularity will pick up the same way Uzuki's did

Mio looks like Ayumi from TWGOK and that's originally got my attention.  Eh for some reason I think of her as a mix of Haruka and Miki.
