I have to wonder, though... why do some people think she's chubby? She doesn't even appear that big on her cards. Not that I have a problem with it, though.

If you're talking about picture representation, I think it's more the art styles than anything else. Although, part of it could be do to the individual preference of the player, or her breast size implying not just extra fat on the chest.
That's why I think Tomo from Seikon no Qwaser is a little chubby, anyway, even though she doesn't look it in the manga. I assume it's the same for this fandom.

I asked the same question so I found a BMI calculator and she's not overweight so she's not like GIGANTIC she's just a little chubby at worst
No matter what her body type is, Kanako's a cutie I actually think her being chubby is adorable :3 She's really sweet. If I weren't a cool-type producer I would have her on my team.
Kaede's + reminds me of a Cardcaptor Sakura outfit.
